Basically a demo- 75+ % of tech tree and policies are "locked for early access", and the mechanics need a whole lot of work. As only one person is working on the game (for 7 years already), I would predict another 5+ years before the game feels complete. As that time approaches, it may be a solid game, but asking $40 for what is currently here is sorely unjustified. $10 or less would be appropriate.

Banished is a superior city builder, Total War has superior combat. The dream of combining the best of both is not yet realized here.

Buy if want to support the dev, but expect a rough and very incomplete playthrough at this point in time.

Unique and fun to play, despite very poor stability in alpha. Amazing potential.
