We have to appreciate the care that the Total War Warhammer team has with the lore and the Warhammer IP in general. While Games Workshop has somewhat moved on to their High Fantasy setting Age of Sigmar, this game proves that the Old World setting has a lot of untapped potential both on licensing and, why not, on the tabletop.

Total War Warhammer 2 is the best way to get your Warhammer Fantasy fix other than the wargaming hobby itself, and it is also one of the most solid and fun Total War Games ever made. The second installment makes the world bigger by including Ulthuan, the "New World" (Lustria and Naggarond) and Araby and the Southlands. It brings some of the franchise heavy hitters to the scene and you can play a new campaign mode (Vortex Campaign) entirely on the new regions or you can go wild in the Mortal Empires campaign on a massive map with factions from Games 1 and 2 if you have both games.

I hope that Creative Assembly continues to build on this great work, showing Games Workshop that the Old World still has a lot to give.
