Wonderful game

Love this game.

I'm a fan of FTL. This simply designed game gives me much more enjoyment playing it than some of the more detailed, 3D space simulators out there. Just because it is simple to play, don't be fooled, the game has challenges aplenty.

The ship to ship combat is enjoyable and non-routine. You will have to adjust to each encounter. That awesome missile and laser you've been using is useless if you are watching your ship and crew being dismantled from the teleported mantis warriors.

Want to outfit the perfect ship, too bad. I like that you have to make a judgement call each and every chance you get at the stores and encounters. Use your precious scrap on a piece of equipment or wait for a better opportunity? It all plays into the repeatibility and enjoyment of this game.

Love the gameplay by turn and encounter. I don't have to spend my precious time manually flying around a pretty universe that will soon become dull and routine. Get me to the important parts: the combat and the hard choices.
