*really sad they went to voobly and ripped all the community work, repackaged it... changed the keys to anything but the original.... and offer a really poor copy of this fantastic game... even worse - they stole the forgotten again from the community and now profit from it.

My advice - find a copy of the original game google Voobly aoe... and play on there hundreds more people to play against.... more traditional replica MSN gaming network interface.

this is the worst version of aoe u will ever play.

fun little title, needs more items and MORE MAPS hopefully they will come as the game gets released. worth a couple hrs play a night

This game..... is just.... terrible....

Its exactly the same as the first game..... it just uses a different color palette

were the devs just on holiday? theres so little creativity in this game it makes you wonder if they paid a dog to produce it....

i daresay though a dogs product would be worth more....

It will take you a couple of hours to complete this.... hardly a challenge.

Save your money... watch people play it on youtube - it wont get much better than that by playing it.

I am a hardened gamer, i like fast action, fast cars and fast women.

I like games which challenge me, which offer an ever increasing level of difficulty, whilst never seeming that the impossible is that far away.

This game throughout teachs you how to play it through actually playing it.

You run, jump, kick, dodge, dance, avoid all whilst contributing to the music that plays throughout the game.

It is addictive, its repetition putting you in some kind of pleasureable induced coma.

As you finish your level and compare your performance to your friends results... you know you can chance a dance just a few more times to eek out those extra points.

Ladys and gentlemen...

This game is a classic, and actually one your girlfriends and mums and dads (probably even the dog too) can play - just start them on level 1!

On my recommendation you must get this in your library.

THE DEVELOPERS ARE CLEARLY ''SPECIAL NEEDS''

they have messed this game up so much that they don't know who is a good player or a bad player.... they have stopped people from being able to communicate... they have no friggin idea.......

This game has gotten worse... You sit in Queues for hours on end as it refuses to match you with anyone...

For those looking to get into DOTA 2 as new players -

look elsewhere for your fun....

Since version 7 of the game came out - Valve have taken the viewpoint that it wants to rip off its player base.

It used to have fun purchaseable battle passes and compendiums with different challenges and rewards some of which you could go on to sell on the steam marketplace
which made it fun to grind - this has now been replaced by a subsciption model that offers far less and with little to sell....

Points to note

1. Matchmaking is completely broken - wait times for a game can exceed 20 minutes when searching in EU west, US east and US west.
2. Server reliability - after successfully waiting out the long search time and finding a game, invariably either the server will crash or a player will drop - this happens around 40% of the time.
3. Matchmaking is unbalanced pitting highly skilled with many hours vs low skilled with few hours
4. Banning system is broken - Even if you mute and dont talk in game, you will receive negative reports, if you talk you receive negative reports, if you dont help your trashbag suicidal ally you will receive negative reports it doesnt seem to matter, you will receive negative reports.... and this will lead to chat bans, 24 hr, 48 hr, 1 week, 1 month or 1 year bans regardless if you spend money on this game or not
5. Ranking system - this was overhauled at version 7 and a new one introduced, no longer you receive a skill rating but now you get a symbol to indicate a skill bracket - this is highly unbalanced, does not reflect skill and you tend to get matched with people who cannot play
6. Subscription vs non subscription - In some ways it has now turned a pay to win game - by that I mean, players who subscribe receive extra in game real time information to help them make decisions. This flys in the face of fair competitiive play and further alienates anyone looking to get into the game - whether new or returning.

The above are just some of the flaws and issues, but Valve/Dota 2 do not listen to the community and are just chasing the quick buck.
Player numbers are dropping fast with the biggest losses in years happening month on month according to steamcharts

My final advice would be this.

Avoid this game.

ok for a blast with some buddies. long waits for higher level games!
