Early Access Review
Nice relaxed city/town builder that is pretty polished even though it's still in early access.

Nothing to complain about really. I like the art style, the minimalistic music, the game mechanics, the gameplay pace and the progression. Also nice that you can generate your own maps, though I would love to have seen a map editor with a terrain painter and stuff.

Only thing that I am still undecided about is the mechanic of the automatic road laying by the villagers. It works well, but it also makes it hard to really design a decorative town as you have no control over the road setup.

Meh.. nothing is better than the first Evil Genius.

I found the lack of gold income at the start an unwelcome hurdle, I really don't want to spend hours looking at a timer to see 1k gold income exery x minutes while I need a couple 100k to build a bunch of rooms to really start playing the game. Also stuff constantly needs to be repaired while I didn't even had a mechanic yet.

Maybe I will fool around a bit more in sandbox mode, but the main game is a let down.

I have had these Hercules games in my library for years and finally decided to play them, it's more fun than I thought!

Early Access Review
Pretty nice game as far as I have played it (10h in). It's a good mix between management and simulation.

As for the simulation part I miss a bit of interaction with other 'sims' in the game and the game gets a bit boring at my rental home as there is nothing to do other than eating and sleeping, but overall it's a fun game so far and it plays smooth without bugs.

This game in current state is already way much better than the game 'The Tenants' that tried to do something similar with their game. Yet that game is 'finished' while the development of this game is still in progress and both games almost have the same price.

It's basically their F1 20222 game with slight improvements and with the 2023 driver lineup and circuits sold as a new game.

The thing that greatly turns me off in this game is the racist focus from the developers. The intentional wokeness to place coloured mechanics/pit crew in the center of the cutscenes every time with with basically every team. It's so fake, so wanna be 'anti-racism', so wrong. Especially, because in real life the teams don't all have have people of colour in their pit team.

Not that colour matters, but the devs artificially made it matter... in a bad way.

Unfortunately after chapter one the game crashes every single time (in Alan's bedroom) so I can't continue and thus have to refund the game. Such a shame, it felt like and looked like a pretty good game up to that point!

The game is exactly as advertized. Chill mostly hands-off game (unless you want to feed the fish manually) with simple, but cute artstyle. The pricing for the game is also right.

Better than the original, as for gameplay and graphics it's more like Maffia 2 with the story of Maffia 1. The game does have a few crap missions where you can die and reloading checkpoints also respawns all the enemies with no health packs and ammo boxes in sight. It's a bit stupid that enemies respawn, but not the ammo and health packs.

Solid RPG as far as I have played. I have restarted a few times just to get a hang of the game and I am now going for a proper playthrough.

I have bought the game, because people said that it is a bit like Dragon Age Origin. Besides for the campsite with companions and the 'romance' I don't really see much reseblance tbh.

I have never played a D&D game and so far I am not a fan of the 'dice' mechanic, in fact it's super annoying. The only thing the dice does is making me reload saves constantly till the dice RNG roll ends positive. In a real board game the dice makes sense, but in a RPG game it's just an annoying hurdle everytime, the game would have been better without it.

Other than that I am having fun, but still trying to get really into it, it's not clicking for me yet.

I would rate the game 85/100 even though the game is hyped and the store page rating is currently 98/100.
