The amount of content that existed in CS:GO and is nowhere to be found in CS2 (at this moment) are baffling. Gun game, demolition, left-handed viewmodel... The list goes on. And while, sure, it makes sense to release CS2 before it's 100% complete - why remove the ability to play CS:GO when it could be a way of enjoying the things CS2 is missing?

Overall, CS2 is an interesting evolution of Counter-Strike. The new smokes are very cool and change the way you play around smokes a lot. I think it's the biggest improvement to CS. The subtick system, while not perfect, is an improvement to the old system, I'd say.

CS2 is still one of the best FPS games on the market, with all its intricate mechanics - but it's more of a sidestep compared to CS:GO than the advancement that was promised.

An immensely fun and well-crafted rogue-lite that just keeps adding new stuff years after it's launch. Lots of weapons and secrets to find.

I have not played the original Mafia but loved Mafia 2 and liked parts of Mafia 3. I played Mafia: Definitive Edition during its launch and remembered liking it quite a bit.

However, after replaying it my opinion has made a full 180.
There are definitely good parts to the game. For example, it looks pretty great (even stunning at times, years later) and the story is entertaining with good writing and great performances.

Unfortunately the bad parts heavily outweigh the good ones. Like most people giving this game a negative review has stated, the racing mission is just absolutely terrible. Upon the game's launch I recall hearing that the original game's racing mission was incredibly hard but this version of the race is excruciatingly hard and boring - no matter if you choose the classic difficulty or the easier one. There are multiple other missions where you can essentially get soft-locked because you reach a checkpoint with low health right before the big climax of certain missions.

I could probably write an entire essay about all the things I dislike so instead I will list the rest of the flaws with shorter descriptions below.

- Driving is clunky and not fun at all. All cars feel slow but the faster cars feel like driving on ice, constantly sliding around making it necessary to drive slow and carefully.
- Shooting doesn't feel very impactful. Especially the shotgun feels and sounds weak.
- Stealth sucks. There's at least one force stealth mission which is just so dull because of the underdeveloped stealth mechanics. Stealth might as well have been cut out altogether.
- Shooting from cars is extremly basic and dull. There's no way to aim when shooting while driving. The game auto-locks to enemy cars if you're close enough and if you're far away you can sort of manually aim but the bullet spread and aim is so large that it's impossible to shoot out tires or aim at drivers.
- Performance is also a huge downside. The game is always very choppy and drops fps seemingly at random, no matter what I try. I'm playing this on a RTX 4080, Ryzen 5900X and the rest of the PC being pretty high end too, for reference.
- AI is pretty stupid, especially the police.
- The melee system is basic and underbaked. It basically evolves into spamming Q and occasionally dodging if the enemy manages to get a hit in. Mafia 2's melee system was honestly better.
- Plenty of bugs. Performance aside, the game has crashed a few times during my latest playthrough, characters will get stuck in geometry, sometimes crucial NPCs, forcing you to reload checkpoints...

Despite the good parts of the game I cannot recommend playing this because all of the listed negatives just brings it down and makes it an actively unfun experience at times.

Early Access Review
This game has a lot of potential and can be really fun at times when you're playing with friends. However, even friends can not make up for this game most of the time. The desync is horrendous and the game is laggy, it's basically 50/50 if you're shots will register. Weapon spawns are too random, to the point where (if you're unlucky) you'll search through a number of houses without finding anything but pistols. There's just a slew of problems that take the fun out of it and make the game hard to recommend in the current state.

Easily one of the best games this year, Dishonored 2 follows up on the success of Dishonored.
The story is great, the graphics are amazing, combat feels much more fluid and faster than in the previous game and the levels are even more open than before. Oh, God, the levels... The design in this game is ridiculously good. Dishonored 2 is bascially Dishonored bumped up to eleven!

The only downsides are that performance is a little wonky (at release) but I've not had any major problems like other people.
Also Mission Replay has for some weird reason been removed and there's still no New Game+. These will be added later though, as confirmed by the creators.

Conclusion
Dishonored 2 is a great game which will suck you in for many hours.
