Early Access Review
At this point the game hardly qualifies for an early-access tag.
It has not received any updates to fix major bugs or quality of life in the game.
For about a year there has been zero changes to fundamental flaws in the game and the player base is declining fast.

Stay away from this game, it has unique gameplay but it is not worth the frustration it comes with.

Bad news, changed this from recommending to not recommending, read below for the past review.

So with the updates since 0.2 was deployed the following has happened and why I changed my review from a positive one to a negative one:

- The game is no longer PVP focused, it is made into the next sim set in medieval time where building is nearly the only thing you can do.
- They are introducing PAY 2 WIN elements with the next update (that should have landed today). Where you now can pay upkeep for your outposts and monument with real money, removing a huge resource sink of the game.
- EU players are at a massive disadvantage to the next largest player base which are the people from US, as the new JH mechanic leaves EU residents to play at ungodly hours of 02:00-08:00 UTC (that's am if you wondered). Meaning EU players can not feasibly attack US based guilds. While EU JH time starts from 12-14 o'clock till 19:00 o'clock varying where in the god forsaken country of USA you live in. So are you unlocky enough to be from the EU and have a mainly american based guild near you, the only PVP you will get that is of any use is a defensive one, where YOU have everything to loose and THEY have NOTHING to loose and ALL to gain. Thank you very much developer, start playing your own game please.
- On top of the PAY 2 WIN element they added, they are now adding military outposts that can be dropped in disconnection with your main area, meaning larger more wealthy guilds can easily and feasibly whipe you out in your very first JH, so yes welcome back to 0.1 tactics of Life is Feudal where we put something up your bum the moment you arrive in the world. Yes if you did not notice there's a huge lack of a business degree on anyone in the team of BitBox, and especially the head dicktator himself Bobik.

I am angry and sad of the road the game has taken, I had big hopes for 0.2 but due to lack in English skills on the developer that creates bad polls to take measurement on the community. The responses are WRONGLY gaged and the dev blindly follows their own stupidity.

Previous review:
The 0.2 map Godenland provides a vastly larger world for the players to compete in.

it also adds new PVP incentives other than removing your foe and enemies you can now govern them and levy taxes off their production, helping you to further expand your territorial rule. Gone are the days where the only goal of PVP was to evict guilds.

That being said, a large group is still a necessity, anything less than a group of 10, which still is regarded as a small group would have a hard time in Godenland. The game provides a solid foundation for cooperation and adventure, you make the story as you wish yourself.

Best overview is in my opinion received here:
https://lifeisfeudal.com/Guide-to-the-Second-Major-Update

Cons
- The games is not free to play fully, you will have to pay a small sum per character to transfer to the full game world.
- There are still small bugs that can be annoying in the right circumstances
- People on the internet are generally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the same is true for this game

Pros
- Difficulty is there, everything takes time to do, the accomplishment feeling is largely present when things are done properly.
- You are basically limited to your own imagination and tactics

The game activly recommends disabling anti-virus software as a first basis problems for any lag or screen issues.
The game completely locks up on first boot, making the computer as good as non responsive for several minutes.
At which point you can finally get up task manager and kill the planetbase exe file to return your computer into normal working condition.

Don't buy, and I honestly have no idea why it is even purchasable at this type of error level.

The current AI is the most stupid implementation I've ever seen.
It does not take into proper account of player managed cars, and are generally too agressive and does not abide by any other rule than to ruin the game play a 100%
