It doesn't have all the bells and whistles you might expect for a "tycoon" kind of game when it comes to certain aspects. Given it puts more into the visual aspect which is just stunning, then certain mechanics. The tourist buildings are kinda bland and manageing them is nearly redundant and the path making could use some work.

My GAWD is it gorgeous though and so much fun to work with the dinosaurs, as that's what you'll be manageing more then guests or stalls. Lots of fixes and additions have been made and the new DLC coming out with more dinos is just golden.

Now if they could take the time and really iron out a better way to manage guests, more intuative UI and settings for stalls and guest attractions and well just more of those all around. Really squeaze in that aspect of tycoons games many people tend to love doing and the game would be..very close to perfect almost.

1000+ hours

Easily hands down THE dinosaur game to have, yes its early access and if that isn't your cup of tea just wait till release. All if not most of the negatives of the game should be worked out by release. At best you'll have a great game to coop on private servers with friends if you don't like official servers with PVP enabled. Yes it will be demanding on your computer and opitimizations are due and they will come many already has. As I stated if early access isn't your thing just wait.

With all the mods being worked on that for example, convert the game to space or fantasy settings, you really can't go wrong with owning it given the increaseing modding community. The game is gorgeous and the devs add in small things community requesterd all the time where it is really full of fun features and a ton of prehistoric creatures.

Still feel the same way about the game when I first made my review. It's a shame it hit its most popular stride while in EA. It seems most people just can't handle EA titles as is let alone one that is trying to cater to a larger group of people which will not happen. (as in you can't make everyone happy)

Pros:
Free game mode from a popular game.
The game itself is worthy of a purchase price.
Removing the clutter of the base game mode to help improve performance.
ELO system and ranked match making.
Monthly prizes for playing (free game btw)

Doesn't run on potatoes or toasters, real shame on that one.
Didn't make me pay for it.
