Game is trash. sorry not sorry.

Game is good. feels a bit more like a battle royal then an extraction shooter at this point, needs more looting and rpg elements to make it more like an extraction shooter, but it is solid and fun to play regardless.

Pro: So the game has an amazing solid base, and it is alot of fun. It is like tarkov without the tediousness, or non user friendly mechanics. take the tarkov formula and simplify it so anyone can play and that is The Cycle: frontier.

Cons: it has a large cheater issue right now at endgame. the developers are working on it, they hired a team just to deal with cheaters. Hopefully they can get a handle on it by season 2. if they do it will be an amazing game. if not the cheaters could kill the game.

conclusion: give it a shot, its free to play, and you wont really run into cheaters until you get to the hard map and higher MMR lobies. you can always play a bit now to get a feel for it, then pick it back up once they get a handle on the cheaters.

Great game that solves many of the issues plaguing the surviaval genre. It is faction team based. the game still has a ways to go as its early access but has unlimited potential to become amazing. It somehow manages to capture an old school MMO feel at the same time as being a survial game.

its ok, It not what i was looking for from a D&D title. im a bit disapointed in it. I wouldnt spend more then $5-$10 on it if your looking to buy the game. I might enjoy it more if I paid less for it, ( i paid $20) but the game vs the cost just dont seem to be worth it.

It lacks alot of my favorite classes from D&D, and there is no utility to the classes.
the quests are linear. for example the quest to save or kill the dog at the beggining of the game. I didnt even have a chane to save the dog because my stats where not high enough to succeed the conversation. in D&D even if i have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stats, i could still roll high and succeed. this game has no rolls, just hard break points on your stats to determine success. that is lame to me. I decided to just leave the dog alive, then later i found out the caravan leader just came over and killed the dog anyway. I should have just been able to kill the halfling that was accusing the dog, and make up some lie obout how he was some evil hobit that had something against dogs.

I cant pickpocket the vendors if i want to. or i feel there should be the freedom to just kill the vendors and take their stuff. (obviously the vendors would fight back or be hard to kill but the option should be there.

the draw of D&D is to play the game the way you want to and face the consequences of your actions if you decide to play more evil ( or if your good get away with it). this just dosent exist in this game.

TLDR = No freedom of choice in the game = not D&D

If you take what you get, for what the game costs, you really cant find a better deal on a game. also has lots of nods to the fans of the show.

This is a great MMO, the new patch with the naval upgrades makes it even better. first player run economy game i have seen actually work in a long time.

This is hands down, the best Dragon Ball game i have ever played. its not a pure fighter, its more of an adventure and then fight type game. it has great rpg elements such as racial advantages and disadvantages, leveling up. mixing and matching any skill in the game on your character. allocating stats however YOU wish not forced on you. Collecting dragonballs to make wishes that grant you ingame stuff (secret characters, new moves, new gear, stat resets, money, ETC). The devs did an amazing job creating this game, and i hope they make a sequel that implements even more features, maybe make it even more open world. Also it has offlien play.

CONS: currently the game has some very glarring connectivity issues, but once that is sorted out this game is a gem. when this game fixes this i will remove this portion from my review.

This game has amazing potential. And it has had more fixes to problems in 1 week, then dayZ has had in 3 years. The game is in alpha, so if you dont like dealing with bugs, or balance testing then just be patient and wait untill its in a more finished state. If you dont mind that then go ahead and jump in but remember it will eventually be free to play when it launches with micro transactions.

Game HAD potential, the greedy jagoffs at daybreak decided to change it from a free to play game on release, to 2 seperate pay to play games wich still haveing micro transactions. so bascially lets rake our customers over the coals as much as possible.

Daybreak = Incompetent, GREEDY, Lieing, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that ruin everything they touch despite how much potential the game has.

Will never buy anything from daybreak again.
