This game is fun.
It's kid friendly, but fun for a group of adults.
It may look simple; I would say It's easy to understand but has many complex layers.
The Dev's are active; there's regular events and updates.
I've played a bunch in alpha, but my list is long and time is limited, so I haven't circled around for some time. >.>
There's a lot of new content that I'm looking forward to trying.
If any of my friends pick this up, DM me. I would be more than happy to join you.

Democracy has prevailed!!

Update:
PlayStation has reversed course on the Helldivers 2 PSN account requirement, walking back the unpopular policy after a weekend long backlash that included tens of thousands of negative reviews, some of which spread to Sony's other Steam games

*************
Old review:

Mandatory PSN account linking?!! BOO!!!

To be clear, the developer, Arrowhead is amazing and I absolutely love this game.
The publisher, Play Station / Sony, on the other hand is actively trying ruin it.

If they only required players to register their game with a PSN account, that would be fine.
The problem is Sony got the dollar sign eyes and decided to force players to link said PSN account to their Steam account, thus making this a Geo-Political issue.

Huge portions of the player base are not going to be able to play at all based on the country where they live.
Democracy, for some?!!

P.S. There is another valid concern about the PSN linking. Sony puts NO effort into their Cyber Security and have been experiencing frequent Data Breaches for decades. Any information obtained by the account linking is guaranteed to fall into the hands of bad actors.

It's a rogue-like, Diabolesque paper-dungeon adventure with a fun deck-building mechanic. Instead of a traditional skill tree, you find cards along the way that unlocks items, abilities and artifacts, which you mix and match to suit your play style. There are enchanted variants of each that are easily swapped out, and they can be upgraded with runes, some of which are recoverable if you out grow the item.

The village folk seem to have a tete a tete behind the scenes, so they seem like more than two dimensional characters. And they're voice acted which helps with immersion into the story. I also like the artistic style. All and all, I feel like it's a very solid game and I'm enjoying my time playing through it.

Unlike any of the other Trine's, this one is in 3D.

Early Access Review
Very well polished for early access. The developers are active an listen to feedback. Can't wait to see what they do next.

In the begging there were words. The words created the world. I am the words. The words are everything. When the words ends, the world ends. You cannot move forward through empty space.
