Thanks for sharing this. I've informed the Trackmania Fullspeed community and the people he knew through Trackmania about his passing. His maps were era-defining in the community, and he will always remain a legend!

I met Winter back in 2015, and he's without a doubt the reason why I fell in love with Trackmania and the FS community. He was a dear friend of mine, and I'll always cherish the countless nights we've had with the old ч²о crew.

Glad to see this has had some success. We want as many people as possible that knew him to know.

Winter was a bit paranoid around social media. We've used Sir Gamealot as the messenger as he had more common history with Winter through the WoW sphere and guild than the rest of us. Seems Winter forgot Steam has a "wall" as well :)

Overall, we don't know any real details yet. He turned 40 in december so they sent him for an autopsy just because of his age. We suspect this was an physical health emergency. He was looking forward to the spring and mass effect 4 and the likes, so it's a shame.
