I was very invested in this game. I realized early that this was very much a "Game of Thrones" like story, in so far as it seems your characters can be killed or leave the party at any time. This one aspect of the game ruined it for me. Perhaps I'm soft but, I tend to get emotionally attached to my characters. This game will kill off a whole bunch of them suddenly mid-game because of what seemed like a logical decision you made at the beginning of the game , and there seems to be no way to avoid it other than not making said decision. Its just too punishing for me.
The combat is fine, other than the hp=strength, I like the combat. The art is beautiful, the story is good, other than what I mentioned above, and I would have kept playing if not for that one moment. If you can deal with your potentially favorite party members getting killed by other members that betray you at the WORST possible time for the dumbest reasons, then this game is for you. But, its not for me.
