Great game with a lot of room to grow. Putting a Positive in here because I read the reviews that are here...very few are saying "the game is bad", because it isn't. It's a good game. The problem is you can barely play it due to network issues. Every game that is "always online" has dealt with this. One could argue that aspect should have been left out of this game, yes, but fact is, this happens to every online game, with few exceptions. But, gamers have short AND selective memories. Sigh...So, hopefully people see the "Mostly Negative" and scroll down a bit to see what's really going on. Everyone is just mad that the launch was terrible, and it was indeed terrible. But the game that is here is good, if a little thin on content. But, knowing Starbreeze, there will be more before long. I'd wait a week or two, then come back to this one. Worth the money, but yes, the launch was TERRIBLE. Thank you.

Game was decent on launch, then got pointless with recent updates. And, the Dev is just a massive loser who blames the world for not giving him the good ending when he made every bad decision. I like to separate the artists from their art, but if the artist themselves can't do that, neither can I. DO NOT give this company your money.

Greatest retro-style rpg I've played this year! Hands down. I'm getting hints of Shining Force, Ogre Battle, early Fire Emblem...it ticks all the boxes for me! Great music, awesome tactical combat, adorable sprites and pretty cool character art during dialogue. Story is a bit cliche but sometimes, a peanut butter sandwich is all you need to get you through a day of amazing adventure! Pick this one up!

I was very invested in this game. I realized early that this was very much a "Game of Thrones" like story, in so far as it seems your characters can be killed or leave the party at any time. This one aspect of the game ruined it for me. Perhaps I'm soft but, I tend to get emotionally attached to my characters. This game will kill off a whole bunch of them suddenly mid-game because of what seemed like a logical decision you made at the beginning of the game , and there seems to be no way to avoid it other than not making said decision. Its just too punishing for me.
The combat is fine, other than the hp=strength, I like the combat. The art is beautiful, the story is good, other than what I mentioned above, and I would have kept playing if not for that one moment. If you can deal with your potentially favorite party members getting killed by other members that betray you at the WORST possible time for the dumbest reasons, then this game is for you. But, its not for me.
