Surprisingly good innovative fun games recently released (in a world full of steam trash) --

Lumencraft (hybrid 'mining' game mix of rts, twin-stick action and base-building. Exemplary polish, minimal hand-holding, highly meditative and satisfying. Massive surprise especially for it's 'looks')

Dungeons of Edera - (actual effort made by the dev to make a hybrid third person hack+slash and rpg game, procedural zones that many times seem hand-crafted, fantastic art style blends fantasy and realism, good combat (but floaty), rogue-like looting and progression, crafting.
Something that should have been made 10 years ago finally reaches steam - kudos for the developer for making the effort - support it if possible very few devs are this courageous)

The Cycle - merciless FPS, another hybrid that blends pve suspense, gear, looting and adventuring (in a nicely done Planetside 1-esque sci-fi setting) with full pvp where everyone is happy to kill you.

Clean and clear UI with no weird distractions, just pure gameplay and base-building mechanics that let you better your gear over time, with your actual player skill constantly improving as you play.

Another well done hybrid that deserves credit and praise for being courageous in a sea of trash (even though it is incredibly frustrating at times, lol)

Alaloth - Champions of th e Four Kingdoms - another hybrid game that took the courage to blend the classic "Icewind Dale" rpg formula and blend it with full _Controller_ based melee action,

those people sick of 'whack-a-mole' LOL STEAMROLL magic based 'arpg' gameplay (that's basically spamming overpowered spells to clear out whole rooms in seconds) and actually want full merciless immersive (controller-based) melee combat with the rpg format need to buy Alaloth ASAP,

It's hybrid genre long overdue and the devs need and should get all the support they can !
