Too many reviewers ignore the fun factor of a game and pick apart the details without seeing the whole. This is a fun game. I have enjoyed it. As a whole it is worth the investment. There are some minor details that could be better, but that is also literally every other game, except the Original Zelda, which is, of course, perfect. Ok I kid.......OR DO I?

Anyway....

If you like piloting mechs and wreaking havoc on cities and enemies you will have fun.
If you like Mechwarrior Solaris, you will like this.
If you play the Battletech turn based merc game, you will like it.
If you like running a mercenary team while traveling all of known space to work for many different factions, you will like it.

If you only play games where you respawn, and spray and pray your style, you should go back to Fortnite your basement.

Not sure why so many whine here. The game is good. If you are a 40k fan then the game is great! On sale now and worth it for sure.

Outstanding game for early access. Absolutely worth the price of the Summer Sale if you are a fan of AoE or similar games. Difficulty is in need of tweaking in some areas but thats too be expected at this state. Overall it's an engaging and well conceived game. You won't regret the purchase.

Day 1: Plane crashed in some forest. Before I passed out I saw some....I don't know...native guy covered in red paint pick up my son and walk off. I have to find him. Found an axe and rummaged through the suitcases strewn about by the crash. Found a survival book

Wandered a bit and saw a village...maybe they can help?

Village surrounded by skull effigies with body parts attached....fresh body parts. Decided against meeting the neighbors and retreated into the woods.

Found a opening in ground to a cave below with a rope going down. Turned on ligter. Made it 3/4 of the way down rope before I heard heavy breathing and scrabbling on the floor. F this, back up rope.

Thirsty now....went down to a lake I saw a while back...maybe that water is safe to drink. Wait...something behind me.

There's some laughing crazy guy running around me on all fours...my back to the lake...Im cut off.

The psychotic fool attacked me....knocked me out....I woke up hanging upside down from the cave roof. Fortunately my axe is nearby...I can reach it and cut myself down.

I climb up the rope and make it outside, noone around. Time to build a shelter.

I chop down some trees...now we're making progress.

I think I'll build a hunting shelter. This seems like a good spo....what is that? Laughter....crazy...sick laughter. Oh my god there are 5 of them!

I grab my axe....they rush me....running about on all fours and laughing. I kill one with my axe, then another...but Im wounded. The others seems wary...they back off...maybe they're leavi....they charge me!

I've lost too much blood....I start to run...if I can make it to the lake maybe I can swim across to safety. Running...running...footsteps behind and that laughter....the awful laughter. It's getting closer now...there's more of them....

Fun game! It's like nothing I have played before so it is hard for me to draw a comparison. The story is good and the combat, though simple mechanically is load with possible combo's of abilities if you care to explore them. The game is very linear, so you aren't in control of the story. Rather, you are taken along for the ride and are allowed to make key decisions and fight the battles as the Banner Saga unfolds. The game is priced well for what it delivers and it is worth playing it if you haven't already.
