I don't leave a lot of reviews, but this is here for 2 reasons.

1) It seriously is a great game. Easily a GOTY contender made by a 'small' dev team that loves their work and the player-base. There will be growing pains and over-corrections. this is to be expected. but the game AT IT'S CORE is a well thought out masterpiece.

2) The recent Sony issue caused HellDivers to review bomb the game. some of this was directly asked for by the dev team, to prove a point to Sony. that mission is now complete, however there will be many people that left a negative review that will forget to come back and update. this is what little i can do to show the devs my respect for handling a bad situation imperfectly, but well. caught between an immovable object and an unstoppable force they prevailed and came out victorious and proved once again that all they want to do is make good games.

Thank you Arrowhead for being a (mostly) sensible bastion for gamers. people that genuinely care about they fan-base and the state of gaming as a whole. Keep on Memeing!

Completed in under 5 hours. Quickly realized this wasn't quite the game i thought it was going to be and thought about getting a refund after watching the trailer on youtube. However the graphics, sound and mechanics were enough to override that feeling.

I feel that this game is more of a walking simulator akin to Death Stranding and the like, an atmospheric storytelling engine where you uncover the truth of the planet you've landed on. The upgrades are useful, but there's only one i think you need, and the story forces you to get it. the scanning is more for a completionist vibe, the puzzles are the right level of difficulty for a game like this - nothing that will cause major issues, but the execution of them is quite nice.

All in all the pricing seems fair for the content provided, unfortunately there's no real replay-ability due to the linear nature of the story, but for a nice calm sojourn into a breathtaking environment with a solid story I'm glad i stuck with it. sad to see it end so soon.

No bugs found, only one area my PC struggled with (the long elevator) all in all a very smooth experience.

Buy it if you'd like to explore a beautiful planet and clean up all the Gunk™

So, OK, I've been playing this for *checks notes* 100 hours?
I may have an issue.

But seriously, got this because I'm a massive fan of games like Factorio and Satisfactory. I love optimizing and designing, and optimizing again.

For an Early Access title this is ready to go, biggest gripe I've had so far is the inability to upgrade things. turns out they must have heard me, as they plan to add it before Chinese New Year.

All the controls are super-intuitive, everything that I've thought to do has worked as i thought it should. The upgrades feel useful, the science seems weighted well.

Stability is incredible, never hit a single bit of lag (other that autosaves) even with factories going on 9 planets in 3 solar systems, with logistics vessels running all over the place. Oh and the 2,000 sails orbiting the sun along with a Dyson Sphere almost 1/2 complete.

The scale of this game is incredible, the tech and manufacturing is simple enough to get in to, with just enough complication to keep things interesting. Fans of Factorio will love the ability to micromanage every belt, every item, and minimize floor space. Satisfactory fans will love the 3rd person ease of building their factory. Newcomers will love the ability to mysteriously hang conveyor belts 2 miles in the sky with no supports while they try to work out better ways to connect things.

Things I'd like to see:
Another tier of Smelter.
More Silicon plz (WHY AM I ALWAYS RUNNING OUT). Less silicon dependency will work too?
Visible supports on conveyor belts (might cause lag, no biggie - just odd)
Copy and Paste support for groups of items - smelter and belt setups for example.
More stackable things/factory block to build over Assemblers/Smelters.

I don't review often, but for this game, it's definitely deserved it. well worth the money they are asking for.

Keep up the great work!

The most stressful, rage quitty, friendship straining game I have ever played.

For 351 hours.

For some reason.

Beautiful graphics, wonderful sound well-designed fights (mostly), the opportunity for some really crazy events. (seeing a deviljho carrying an odogaron in it's jaw randomly was nice). so many different ways to play so many different ways to lose.

Advice to any new players,

Ask for help! the new guardian sets really help with the original game.
Try each weapon, until you find one you like.
make every armor you can, every weapon you can. function over form is the best way to go. although some of my friends would disagree.

8th on my most played, but few games have quite the same endorphine rush as this when you finally get that one creature murdered, skinned, and hung on your wall.

Enjoy!

So I'm still learning HOW to play the game at this point but feel the need to share what ii have found so far.

If you're a fan of Fallout 3/4, Bioshock, Deus Ex and Prop Hunt in a setting of Dead Space with overtures of the film Memento then you will love this!

Randomly picked this up for a change of pace from all the other games I own with no real idea what it was other than the trailer - and apparently I like it enough to write a review :D

Ok, i dont normally review games, but this one has me hooked. Simple art style, simple controls and a wonderful soundtrack make it easy to get started. Playing with friends is already very easy - although be careful when in vehicles in MP games...i think ive launched about 30 trucks into orbit as sudden lag spikes have overwhelmed me.

I could go on about how little documentation there is, or how little there is to do right now. BUT its a friggin pre-alpha, not a triple A rated game (NMS) and yet plays well and stands its ground. I cannot wait for the developers to continue working on this and wait expectantly for.

If you enjoy sculpting land endlessly to create a wall to defend from the cuboid storm menaces of (insert planet name here) then this game is for you.

If you enjoy driving around on solar powered vehicles searching for random things, then this game is for you.

If you just want to bury a friend underground for no particular reason...this game has a space for you.

Full customization of the appearance of just about everything is on its way.

Anyway back to playing silly games again. :P
