Luckily Arrowhead has listened and the last two patches have been huge for restoring the fun, and regaining a lot of player trust in the game and developers. Its now in the best state its been in since launch, and hopefully its a trend that continues. Looking forward to new content when it comes out again.

Early Access Review
Amazing game for the price, you cant beat it right now.
Insane that a game made by 3 people with Roblox graphics was able to basically create the Battlefield we all wanted, and incorporated changes a lot of people were asking for, or basic things that were missing from the last horrible BF release. Class System, Great Progression, Tons of Guns, Great gear and customization system without predatory microtransactions. Scoreboard, Squads, Local Voice Chat (between both teams too) and surprisingly good gunplay.

This game will be amazing with more updates in the future, and its more than capable of being played as it is now. Looking forward to more maps, and vehicles.

**Edit- Switching this to a Recommend after the latest Update**
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe this game is worth a play for people who are fans of the genre now, and the game has at least gotten to the point it should have at launch with the finishing of the crafting system. If you're looking for a fun co-op shooter in the 40K universe, this is it. There is still a definite need of some extra content, and tweaks to more player agency but they are now on the right track.
I look forward to any expansions and additional content now.

+++THE CORE GAMEPLAY IS AMAZING+++
Everyone knew this coming from previews, and the beta.
Killing the mutants and fodder feels amazing with almost every weapon in the game, and is why you keep coming back to it every day.

The cracks only begin to show once you are far into the endgame content/gameplay loop

Here are some of the issues now after the current update (edited from before)
------------------------------
-Bugs- I am still having crash-on-join issues once a map loads sometimes. Its about a 25% chance on mission join for me, but luckily I can relaunch and rejoin basically every time.
-Performance is improving with the last patch, hopefully they continue working on this.

-------------------------------
*MORE CRITICAL ISSUES* (Edit- Luckily Crafting is not missing anymore)
-------------------------------

||***HUGE reliance on RNG for an insanely large amount of things:***||
-MAPS are randomly rotated (not randomly generated, they look the same each time), so you cant actually choose what you want. Same with the modifiers.
(Edit- This has been slightly improved, there are now 4 more missions each rotation and shorter cooldowns, but I still dont love this system)
-The WEAPONS you get after missions are RNG
(Edit- Now you at least get one every time you finish a match)
-The STORE you have to rely on to get weapons you need are RNG
(edit- they improved this a little by now being able to craft specific base guns whenever you want)
-The endgame higher-tier weapons shop is RNG
-The Crafting/Enchanting/Endgame Blessing System is RNG
(Edit- SYSTEM IS FINISHED NOW LUCKILY- but there is still some randomization on first upgrading them, luckily over time you can sacrifice perks for that weapon to be able to choose them again on another better one)

-The Cosmetics you can get from completing the game normally AND from challenges (some are almost impossible) are SUPER limited/mediocre
**Real Money** Microtransaction store is still present, and sadly still has most of the best cosmetics behind it. Really hoping they can add a lot more cosmetics tied to reasonable in-game accomplishments, or the normal store in the future.

-The Story is tragically thin. There is almost none, and they could have done SO MUCH with the lore they had to work with, and Dan Abnett on payroll. The rare in game chatter is good, but the "cutscenes" you get between leveling up are pathetic, they could basically be cut from the game and it wouldn't make a huge difference. This was a tragic discovery as a lore nerd.

-There are not nearly enough Maps for it to be pulling from, especially after Vermintide 2 (which had a better chapter format as well) had way more at launch. In this game you see every map and all they have to offer quickly. (if you get lucky with the map RNG)

-The hub world seems pretty half baked, and is a downgrade from vermintide 2 for sure. Many areas have no function, just randos online milling around then disappearing.
A big improvement could be a shared firing range, or actual lore/story enriching areas like a mess hall or minigames, etc.
Luckily they added some emotes in the last update (only available in the hub) so hopefully they expand on this idea (and maybe let us use some of them in-match)

-------------------------------
Sadly, even after multiple delays it seems like this game was nowhere near launch-ready.
As we've heard time and time again, I have a feeling good-old Tencent had a lot to do with the RNG, Paid Cosmetics, and Rushing to get it out the door before it was ready.

Luckily after this last update it seems like they are on the right track.
Hopefully this isn't too little too late, and we can have more substantial updates in the future.
I would even pay for expansions with quality content and gameplay

As a huge fan of the setting, and even the core game here, I REALLY hope they can continue to improve the experience with the game, I want this game to be what I thought it would before launch.

Amazing Game

From someone who's a big fan of Milsim games, this is my favorite for WWII shooters, and has such amazing Visual, Sound, and Game design. You'll feel like you're really there getting PTSD as a tank wipes out your whole squad with an HE round, or an artillery strike falls right ahead of you.

Awesome, and I even usually end up playing alone with Randos. If you have a dedicated group, I imagine its even better. Also like how they handle actual down/death states more than how games like Squad handle them.

Looking forward to any updates and expansions that come out in the future from them. Will be an instant buy.

One of the best Star Wars RTSes, and even best 4X games Ive ever played.
Grand galaxy strategy layer, amazing RTS combat, and even real time ground combat. Amazing. And even better, the Modding community is mind blowing.
EaW Remake 4.0 got me to play this game again after over 15 years, add a reshade, and this thing looks and plays amazing still. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I've been hoping for a sequel for over a decade, so hopefully we'll get that wish someday now that good old EA exclusivity might end.
We can hope...

I recently got this game on a sale, and I'm STILL surprisingly disapointed.

I've played almost all the LEGO games that have come out lately, and honestly, theyre pretty darn good! I've really enjoyed pretty much all of them. Lego Lord of the Rings is one of my favorites, and honestly is a really good game, and did great combining the great story of LOTR with the goofy/fun gameplay of the LEGO games. I've had a lot of fun playing these games Co-op with my girlfriend, so we were excited to get the game recently when we saw it was on sale.

And the gameplay and quality holds up just like the lego lord of the rings, and exceeds it in some regards. Its a good game! We spent 9 hours playing through the story of the unexpected journey, then the desolation of smaug. Then, as we're about to start the beginning of the third game, what's this? No blue story markers? Free play?? What the?

So I go online to confirm my disappointment. There's no third part. The third movie, the entire end of the "trilogy" isn't even in the game. The didnt make it. It basically just ends in the middle. Warner brothers canceclled the "DLC" that they planned on using to "finish" the game. The fact that the game even exists like this is kinf of mind blowing. The fact that WB Just pushed this out after the second movie as a cash grab is so obvious its painful. And its sad! The game thats there is good! The developers did a good job, just like they have on most of the other games in the LEGO franchise. But WB decided instead of waiting like any sane person would do until the third movie to release a finished game, they decided to realease it during the second without a 3rd par, then say that a "DLC" would finish it later because they just needed that money from it SO BAD right then... And then they canceled it... WHAT.

The state this game ended up in has just disappointed me so badly, because the rest of the game is honestly good! I was really looking forward to playing the climax of the entire story in the third part, but apparently that will never be.
So no, I definitely cannot reccomend this game. Unless for some reason you love the hobbit but REALLY hate the entire third part and conclusion, It's literally an unfinished story. If you're like me, even though the rest of the game is great, you will be entirely disappointed with the game in the end. (the fact that the rest is so good almost makes it an even greater disappointment). This is definitely an incredible case of a publisher basically ruining a game).

Save yourself the disappointment, Do not get this game, even on sale.
