This game is 70% visual novel and 30% combat.

This is a wonderful alternative to the major boxing franchises and even has retro characters that make it even more fun to play. This is better than the console boxing games I used to love.

This is not the Final Fantasy you are looking for. There is no over world. It's basically God of War with FF textures. The first three hours will have you killing rats and chasing cats. The controls aren't great. The exploration is interrupted with lame mellow drama that makes you wait to skip. The dialogue with Aerith was so bad I had to mute my TV to get through the level. The characters are annoying stereotypes. I'm about 21 hours in and I think I'm just done trying to finish it. Just a lame version of the best RPG franchise. Sad. I had such high hopes for this one.

This games starts a bit slow, but WOW does it deliver. No spoilers. Great story and artistry.

This game is an amazingly well written love letter to late 80's early 90's side scroll shooters like Contra and Metal Slug, and even some tribute to other games from that era like Double Dragon, Hit The Ice, Pit Fighter, and many more. Lots of bits of modern retro cyberpunk as well. The retro references and dialogues are vast.

Faithful to the original with some interesting style changes. Best NES port I've ever played.

This is easily the best stealth action game of all time. No detail was too small. The game mechanics and attention to detail are the best I've seen.

It is so unfortunate, but this game really does fail in all the ways a typical, non-Kojima game fails. The menu system is awful and incomplete. The cinematics are repetitive and melodramatic. The tutorial never stops replaying messages. All of the player animations are fast when they need to be slow, or slow when they need to be fast, with no grasp of consistency or realism. The mission order is flawed. The over-emphasis on tutorial videos (70 and counting) clearly wasted dev time and budget and took away from proper design in other areas of the game where it was sorely missing. They needed Kojima's help on this game so badly. What a poor way to follow a legendary franchise.

Of the remakes of Shadowrun, this is the worst one. It was clearly made by a different studio. The graphics are not as detailed and the music is not near as good. It's a different game engine entirely and it was a bad choice.
