Great, fast paced, retro shooter. Love the aesthetic, movement, and setting. Good variety of guns that are all fun to use. Some of the music reminds of me ghost in the shell. Game doesn't overstay its welcome. Absolutely worth full price and a no-brainer on sale.

This game is like an open world spectacle fighter. The combat is fun and over the top. There are only 3 weapons, but dozens and dozens of ways to modify how they work with the essence stones. There are so many essence stones in the game that you just wont be able to experience all of them in a single play through. This definitely isn't enough reason for another play through though. I think the graphics are great and the map designs are cool.

Some of the main complaints I've seen are the story, open world, and performance issues/bugs.
-I have to agree that the story isn't all that special, but I also don't care as I see it as an excuse for the cool game play. The story is: God has been misbehaving. Go give him a beat down.
-Some people have said the world is empty and time wasting. I found the density of things to do on each map to be respectful of my time. I hate the density of pointless busy work and collectibles that Ubisoft stuffs into all of their open world games. If this were a Ubisoft game, every grain of sand in the desert would have been a collectible. I think they struck a good balance with this game. I didn't find that any area overstayed its welcome. I found that between the speed of your movement abilities and the quick travel system, the size of the maps was not an issue.
-I don't have much to say about performance. I didn't encounter any issues with low FPS for stuttering. I have a high end system so I can't comment on how the game might run on less powerful systems or lower settings. As for bugs, I only encountered a few. I had 2 crash to desktops in my play through. There were 3 other minor bugs that were worked around or sorted themselves out. I had an issue with a particular chest that was uncovered by one of the sets of beacons that refused to open. I left it alone, did some other things, came back and it opened. There was a NPC on a bridge near the capitol city that has an interact prompt on him. You press the button and you get locked in as if someone is speaking, but there is no voice line. When the "dialogue" ends, the camera control is broken until you speak to any other npc. There was also a spawning issue with one of the Elite monsters where I couldn't get it to appear until I listened to one of the sand memory audio logs again and waited. All in all, nothing that broke the game or made it unenjoyable.

Overall, I strongly recommend this game. Even at full price I feel like I got my monies worth. Speaking of full price, thanks to the devs for releasing a game that is only $50 at a time when the price of new releases seems to be $70 now.

I am a huge fan of strategy games and Ai War is one of the best ones that I have ever played. If you are a fan of RTS games then you will not regret buying this game. I would also reccomend getting the expacks aswell. They add great content and are fairly priced.
