A solid half of an survival game, you face all the dangers of the desert, heat, cold, thirst and getting lost, while exploring ancient ruins and trying to find a way home.
All the usual survival mechanics are there, if a bit basic and janky at times.
I really enjoyed the first part of the game, but the end game really dropped the ball and ruined the experience, would be better, if it had been cut out all together.
Buy at discount, and you get to experience more unique survival setting that does deserve a try...and watch the last part from youtube.

Never touched RE titles, but this game certainly was interesting survival horror.
I went straight for daymare difficulty. (hardest/classic RE like). I found it perfectly fitting for first time run, so long as you played smart and did not blast every enemy. Although bosses and enemies stunning you could be quite frustrating.

Story could had been better, but the end twists were on the spot.
Puzzles were weak point of the game, either you brute-force them, or are forced to use walkthrough.
Anyway, it is an okay indie game, with it's good and bad sides.

Small horror game with good atmosphere and large, diverse map for you to explore.

However the numerous bugs and simple minded enemies, quickly turn the game into one goofy, "scooby doo" episode.
You'll get scare or two out of the game, but the rest of the game will be comedy. You can't do anything but laugh as you'll trigger 20th time the same scriped spooky sound effect+rain inside the house, watch zombies dance as they can't reach you and explore the map by falling through it.

At the moment I can't recommend the game as the bugs are game breaking, and did cut me off from last area of the game. This game needs a lot of polishing and bug fixing, before I would consider playing it again.

However, for a couple of bucks you'll do get hour and half of content. Explore an gloomy map, including very pretty mansion and have goofy fun with bugs and doing your best to work around them to reach the end, not a bad deal after all.

Very well made game that shows that tactical stealth genre is not ready to die yet.

The amount of work hours and polishing really shows up, it is really pleasure to play through the missions and see how characters grow and interact with each other as the story goes on.
After a few hours of testing Blades of the Shogun, I could not help but notice how similar it feld to Commandos series and The Legend of Sherwood. Parts of mechanics were almost carbon copy from older games, which is by no means an bad thing, but I'd had hoped more unique view than an fresh paint in graphics and location.

Nonetheless the game is worth of its price, it is challenging, fun and missions are worth of going through again.
Although why waste time reading reviews when you can play the great demo and see the first missions for free.
