Early Access Review
Dead-locked the game in the first 30minutes, wasn't able to find the space suit which the tutorial missed to mention and then ran out of money.

There is a lot of potential but god the controls are awkward and there is so much unnecessary fluff.
Also character interactions have a bazillion factors but don't make any sense.
You can joke and persuade every single person, which makes it hard to know what you can actually do with them.

Labor of love but as it is, needs streamlining, bugfixes and QOL improvements, buy on sale.

What can I say, I did not like it. Having reasonably high expectations, this being the No.1 rated game in all steam history, I find that the jokes and puzzles are blocked by the base game mechanics.
You could say I'm lazy or a noob, but I just didnt imagine myself playing dodge the bullets for another 7-8 hours just to advance the narrative.
Some might like this part of the game but I would rather replay Monkey Island again if I needed a laugh and some good puzzles.

Proper remake of Half Life 1, way more story.
Mechanics were mostly kept the same so expect puzzles, duck-jumping and running back and forth a lot.

Really good and stable game, even in Early Access.
If you have played Kerbal Space Program and loathed the wobbly physics and low performance this is for you.

The game looks better, runs smoothly with at least 4 times as many parts and has many features built-in, which you needed mod into KSP.
Basically a new and improved KSP, missing only the career and science tree.

2023 Edit: Now has rudimentary career and tech tree and although they are unbalanced this really adds a lot and almost feels like a "complete" game now. The UI is a mess though and can be improved.

Early Access Review
Having played the predecessor, Mount and Blade: Warband for the last 10ish years I have never once looked back since the release of Bannerlord. It is truly a better, more polished, more versatile, moddable version of Warband.
Highly recommended for anyone who didn't play any of the Mount and Blade titles before.
The best medieval game there is.

Played through the game but in the end it gets really tedious running back and forth through the same areas over and over again.
There's no quick travel and the areas you visited are pretty much dead, even after days pass only some elements will change.
(Minor) Cigarettes/Booze/Drugs mechanic is pretty much just a stat buff, a bit disappointed that it doesn't affect the story in any obvious way.
I am sorry but it just was more pain than fun.

Great game, very much like Pirates and Silent Hunter, but too many bugs and crashes.
>> Hey Devs, maybe use those gathered user statistics for bug-fixing.

Highly recommended.
This is the future of photography.
Now one can truly "feel like actually being there", because it basically is real.
It's the exact light at that moment in time and space reproduced from every angle.

tldrl: Not recommended until they fix the game and add save on exit.
This game is very unfinished, during my gameplay
I had to restart from a very early autosave because
of game breaking bugs, like dying in a cutscene,
hovering a few feet in the air after getting off a horse,
being incriminated after lifting up a bandit corpse etc.
Combining all the bugs with the restrictive saving system
the developers introduce is very frustrating.
You can't even save your progress on exiting the game,
which makes even quitting the game a pain.

Do you feel like modern RPGs just don't get it right being a knight?
Did you have a toy castle as a kid?
Then this game is for you.
I probably clocked more than 200 hours already on the non-steam version and come back to it regularly,
clearly one of the best value games for me.
