I was really looking forward to this game.
I really enjoy and enjoyed Payday 2 so I expected more of Payday 2 with improvements.... But out of the 42 min of game time I was either stuck in Queue for 20-25 min or as right now I can't even log in...

Played the first mission which seemed well balanced in the PD2 style but almost everything felt slightly off. Not in the sense that you have to learn new mechanics to a new game of a similar franchise, but more like its incomplete.

I really don't refund games easily but probably because I had high expectations, this was a huge letdown.
The only thing I personally felt that was better then Payday 2 was the graphics and that the surroundings felt more immersive and alive. Unfortunately everything else atleast for me, seemed to work better and felt better in Payday 2.

First up I want to say I am a LotR fan and usually already want to play a game of it even before I know what type of game it is. I waited about 2 years for this game to release, as there is not a awful lot of info I deducted it would be a stealth choices game between gollum and Smeagol, which really fits a lot of the games I have played. Later I saw some really nice looking trailers, but not a lot of gameplay yet before the release.

I played for just under 2 hours and learned after I shut the game I was almost at the end of chapter 2.
At that point I still felt like this had to be the tutorial, I did not feel like I had a lot of options and only had about 5-10 real choices to be made...
Just now looked up the amount of chapters, 11 which would mean about 11-14 hours of gameplay for me probably.
I would not mind it being a short game if it was beautiful or good or a strong story setting.
But unfortunately I feel like none of those apply..

This is the 1st game ever I have refunded....
- Short gameplay (can't judge the ending yet but already seen others blaze through in 12 hours incl all collectables)
- no replay value
- Poor graphics
- Lack of deeper story
- Choices between gollum and Smeagol were minor
- Bugs / Glitches, like not climbing a wall, not running on a wall and dieing because of it.

Shame that it came out like this, I have seen a lot of early access games that have done better in a shorter development time or in a smaller team.

Loved the online version enough to play through it a few times over a year.
It is exactly the kind of puzzle out of the box thinking I love and expect from them.
If your looking for a puzzle with a big dose of humour and a relaxing story, this is the game you are looking for.
