Short version: Totally recommend it. Looking forward to seeing it more developed.

Over all, I really like this game and completely recommend it despite the Early Access state. It is rough around the edges but as time passes and development done, I feel this will be the best mech game on the market. The early access state does show however, there are some fairly ugly menus and not all of the parts are described in even the most basic of details. That said, the potential for this game is MASSIVE.

AI - It is very simplistic at the moment, your AI will follow and can take simple orders however the default tactic is 'run into the target and shoot from close range'. This is for ALL of the AI. I expect that this will not be the case in the future but it is where things are at the moment.

Maps - Again, very basic and simplistic. Effectively these are stand in for real maps that really function to showcase and test various aspects and mechanics of the game (heat, nav points, environments). I would be shocked if these were final maps.

Sound - 'Basic' sounds. While the sounds are for the most part good, it is clear they are Unity asset sounds and are likely to be replaced as the game is developed.

Modding - While I do not see any mod tools, I can see there is a workshop available which means to me modding is in the future at some point. To me this is fantastic, can add different variants of mechs (as in hard points) or maps, basically anything.

UI - So for the most part the UI is good, except for the base. I like the old school 'clicking on the door takes you to a different menu' aspect from games like Wing Commander, but the actual menu UI itself is extremely basic. Many of the items have no descriptions on what they do, meaning you'll need to test to see what some things do. Another point is that the mech purchasing is in the mech bay, not where you purchase equipment. And another note, at time of writing there is no sell confirmation so be careful where you click.

Mechs - Are fantastic. I want to see more of them. All of the mechs are extremely customizable to fit one's play style. The only issue I have with the mechs is that I can't tell where hard points are when I am purchasing. This might be fixed in future updates.

Weapons/Equipment - All of it is fantastic. Aside from updating their sounds and descriptions, there is enough variation to come up with extremely unique builds. Medium laser too heavy? Swap it for a light medium laser, it will do less damage but it can shoot a little further and isn't as hot.

Textures - Some of the planet textures are repeats, but at this stage that is expected. The mech textures are fantastic, as are the weapon and vehicle models. Personally I would rather see polygon textures, like Mechwarrior 2 or StarFox, but I don't see why that couldn't just be a workshop mod.

Mechanics - Fantastic, I am sure there will be weapon balance passes targeting, movement, heat build up and cool down are exactly where they should be for a mech game. I am aware there are extra features planned (company management) but these are not implemented. One thing that is lacking at the moment, and may be lacking over all, is multiplayer. It is a shame, but as a low cost indie title it is not an expected feature.

Missions - At this time, missions are VERY basic. Go to bad guys and waste 'em. There are new mission types in experimental and on the way so this issue is minor.

Value - As of writing the game is $12 USD. For the content available, the game is a steal. As the game develops, I'd recommend to the developer to possibly increase the price, particularly if multiplayer is added in some form.
