This game is everything I've wanted in a game for a long time. The story is fantastic, there's wit and cleverness throughout, and the gameplay is smooth and intuitive. I really appreciate the addition of optional missions, too, because it's like calmly and coolly playing a little minigame while 400 things are all simultaneously trying to murder you.

I really dig the Strategem mechanic. It's almost like a minigame in itself, as a sort of resource management sim. And if you can find something more satisfying in a video game than four simultaneous Eagle strikes as the opening notes of a Symphony in 120 Millimeters, you have my envy.

The weapon variations are pretty well-thought-out, too. In one game, I can get a simulation of what it was like to be Ripley (flamethrower) or Johnny Rico (literally everything else). I hope they eventually add limited vehicle capabilities, because it would be pretty bad-ass to drive around in a warthog-style four-seater with three side-turrets and a driver. While I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth, I'd also like to say that it would also be cool if you could call in a water strike, like calling in a forest firefighting plane, to douse those [EXPLETIVE] fire tornadoes that seem to follow me around like petulant children trying to get me to buy something in a third-world marketplace.

But I digress from my main point, which is I think the game is pretty close to perfect, and I'm grateful that the devs took the obvious time they did to put the extra polish and shine on it. I'm also grateful they put as much effort into the personality and backstory as they did into the actual game mechanics.

I know it's not everyone's cup of libertea, and that the game has some haters, but in my opinion, this game is AAAwesome. I haven't looked forward to playing after work with this much enthusiasm in years. It's a ray of sunlight in the slowly-creeping wet fog of discontent that seems to be my normal daily existence.

Definitely would buy again

Warframe is a masterpiece. Beautiful, balanced, and deep enough to stay interesting for a very long time. There are few games that I have ever enjoyed this much, for this long.

Early Access Review
This game was obviously created by people who know how to have fun. From the delightful videos about patch updates to the pure, liberating thrill of gameplay, this is in my opinion some of the most fun you can have with VR, and the reason that VR headsets were invented. There's a remarkable blend of absolute, polished-edge realism and just plain silly, both of which combine to create a viscerally satisfying experience and a smile you just can't wipe off your face. The details are superb as well, from the etched metal on the guns to the sense of presence you'll feel in the environments. My hat is off to you, developers, for making what I believe is one of the few truly perfect games out there. Furthermore, I salute your mastery of technical skill and your love of unrestrained play. If you have a VR headset, you NEED this game. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

While the game lacked the erotic connotations that I initially expected, I must say it is nonetheless a delightful, engaging, colorful, and enjoyable experience. This was one of the first apps I downloaded for my Christmas Vive, and it was an excellent introduction into the uniquely captivating, immersive fun that virtual reality can provide. The vegetation and shading look great, and the textures are well done. I experienced no technical issues while playing.
