I dont get several of the choices done here. In the original game, you could click on a building to see what would happen as that building was uppgraded. Here they got an in-game wiki. It shows what the building does at the next level, not only for you, but also for everyone else, before it shows the level 2 of the same building. Why would I want to know what Egypts level 1 building does before I figure out what my level 2 or 3 building does(unless Im playing Egypt ofc)? It doesnt make sense.
The fighting seemed less interesting, I dont know maybe I didnt like the graphics, but I didnt like how arrows worked. Or how sometimes my general decides to take 5 seconds break in the middle of the field(wtf? Seems to be a bug that happens when your unit(s) are close to buildnings and streets).
It seems to me just getting the original would overall give you a better game, also it can be heavily moded that gives you alot of replayability.
The UI on the original was good, you didnt need to rework something that was already good. You made good worse, another horrible decision.
