you start out with peasants, and your sent up against monsters and armed thugs. so the first hour or more is just running away from 90% of everything you come across while you make transit runs for peanuts. they don't seem to have any kind of newbie zone set up at all, so good luck finding an low level area to play in.

i'd recommend they adjust the mobs levels and gear based on the players, so we're not put against extremely different opponents.

Hearts of iron 4 is an odd game, they went from a WW2 battle simulation game to an "lets manage random equipment groups the designers felt were important". If you want to be in control of a country and wage war on the world, I would pass on this game. If you want to micro manage supply levels while the game automates all troop actions up to how the war will be fought, this is the game for you.

Seriously i feel like the designers missed the whole point of it being WW2 and needing to actually wage war. This game literally prevents you from declaring war on other countries. It would be one thing to have harsh penalties for declaring war on neutral countries but to prevent all sneak attacks is just stupid and unrealistic. have fun making sure your troops have enough trucks... (Seriously)

The warhammers have always been way more difficult than the other total wars in my opinion. Without out much reason or logic, I can play as dwarfs and get destroyed by goblins, I can play as goblins and get destroyed by dwarfs. Think of the difference between starcraft and starcraft 2, the "AI" is constantly monitoring your choices to out maneuver you.

The one nice thing about warhammer 3 is how it combined all the DLC from the first two and gave them to you for free. They seem to nickle and dime us so bad these days that was a nice fall back to the old days of making complete content. If you're a big warhammer fan i would suggest buying this on sale and playing it on easy, it might actually be fun. But you'll still have to spend 60 dollars even on sale to pick up enough DLC to play the races you want...

it's a good game. Difficult but not to challenging, it was a really nice blend. Would recommend.
I would say this about the game play, slow going seems to be the best way. Sometimes you'll have to send a unit to its doom just to recon / keep your main force in a firing line though.

at first this game seemed interesting. but the main character can't accurately shoot a pistol at 20ft. If he doesn't zoom in, he misses every shot at 3ft away. its completely unrealistic. also the run button is like a slow jog.
If you've never held a firearm in your life you could probably suffer through this game, but if you've ever shot a weapon before you would just start laughing at how badly this is designed.

Early Access Review
Easy to learn interface, standard PUBG with some vampire overtones thrown in. suck blood to get health and stat bonus, they give you a couple cool abilities to help in a pinch. pretty fun and balanced for the most part. sure the AK is better than most guns but there's plenty of guns to choose from so not a problem.
now onto complaints. the loading time is a bit long, which the first time loading into the map i can understand. but it's surprising they don't keep the map in your ram, there's only one map and i don't believe the game uses 8 gigs of ram. fps / lag issues appear to be a thing, but with my 3070 i've only noticed my fps crapping out once.

Love the game, runs smooth with no glitches or bugs. its a great successor to mercenaries 4. About the only complaint i have with the game is the load outs for the mechs, its like they purposely gave us the worst load outs possible. I've run through the campaign twice and can safely say the hardest part is finding good mechs. Easily over 90% of the mechs in stores or salvaged are just bad, like seriously they'll have a 90 ton mech that moves faster in exchange for having a loadout of a 40 ton mech (who would even use those???) but the game is actually quite fun

I think this game has potential, but right now the game is super clunky, feels like lag but its just the game having a hard time keeping up. the official server admins will slay you at whim, not sure if they slay the wrong people on accident or if its just a power trip but avoid the official servers when possible

Great older game, would recommend to everyone. You play as either an survivor trying to accomplish a number of task, there is even a game mode that lets you switch off between human and special infected. About the only problem with the game is the easy access to hacks. but there are still options to avoid most cheaters.
