I had to constantly remind myself while playing this game to NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

Really, it's fairly entertaining, the art isn't... horrible. Well, okay, much of the art is atrocious. Some parts are buggy (skipping scenes usually ends in a crash). There is virtually no story, just a lot of tank-related innuendo, anime cliches out the whazoo, a horribly-written drill instructor (seriously, he sucks), annoying music...

In retrospect, I have very few good things to say about this VN. The CGs for the sexytime scenes are where the bulk of the work really went in, apparently. So there's that.

If you keep in mind that this game is likely meant as one long joke and aren't hoping for something even relatively close to Girls und Panzer (like I was expecting), it's okay for a short romp. The routes are ridiculously easy to lock onto. No challenge.

I dunno, maybe I wasted six hours of life on this. But T-34 is certainly mai waifu. End.

My previous review was one of those "epic 4 the lulz" reviews that proliferates every corner of the web, so allow me to do this game some justice...

This is a damned good game. It's extremely challenging, yet fun. Very fast-paced. Seemingly impossible to beat, but hard to put down. The music is AMAZING.

You'll die countless times, that is true, but you'll also find yourself coming back for more. This is a game that requires lots and lots of practice and the ability to concentrate on more than one thing. Perhaps it'll even help you if you're lacking in this area.

The only bad thing I can say about it is this: Do not play this game if you suffer from motion sickness. Trust me.

Otherwise, it's a game well worth the price. You really can't go wrong with it.

As someone who's been playing guitar for almost 20 years, I was excited to get my hands on Rocksmith. I've got plenty of good things to say and one very bad thing, so here goes: If you're a beginner who's never even held a guitar and just want to get a solid basis for building skills and having fun at playing, this is an awesome tool. If you're more seasoned like myself, this is a great way to get consistent practice and improve on techniquest that may have needed work or have gone sloppy over the years. I LOVE the Guitarcade. And the songs in this game are all pretty good (Muse--f*ck yeah!)

The bad? If you're used to playing from tablature, the way that Rocksmith wants you to play is infuriating. Instead of common tab view, which is looking down at a fretboard, Rocksmith has you looking THROUGH the fretboard, which turns out to be counter-intuitive when you consider that almost all tab and instructional books/DVDs have it the traditional top-down method. Not only that, but RS refers to the thinnest string as "the sixth string", and goes up from there, calling the bass string the "first". Again, counter-intuitive if you've ever opened a pack of strings and read what they actually call them. Hint: The "first" is not the bass.

Despite that glaring issue, this game is an awesome value and great tool. With the amount of actual instruction RS has to offer as well as good gameplay and great music, you really can't go wrong. Get us some cheaper DLCs and we'll be all set. :)
