So far I love this game - it's like a cross between Factorio and Empyrion - Galatic Survival - but more towards Factorio's theme (i.e. minus aliens attacking your base).

A tip for new players, pick up as many nuts as you can find because your health will thank you for it. Some places where you go to for ores might have "alien bees" or aliens that shoot fireballs at you - just put nuts in your hand and eat them.

I'll update this if anything changes my opinion. But remember, this game is early access - so if the developers keep on listening to the players and so forth, I might not revise this review. So far my experience has been positive - good tutorials compared to some other similar games out there and so forth.

This has become one of my favorite building games of all time. I got hooked on Space Engineers, Terraria, and some others. But what has set Empyrion aside from the othres the most is that it's still being updated. Unlike most other games I've seen on Steam, Empyrion keeps on rolling out updates and gathering feedback from the community. It seems like there is a new feature to play with every other month or every few months.

The only negative that I can think of right now is that the dediicated server does not support linux - yet.

Update: 11/27/2019 - I nominated this game for Labor of Love award because the developers keep on adding more and more features and keep on tweaking it. Just look at the change log, and you will see that new things keep on coming out. It makes me love and appreciate this game even more, and gives me more things to play with every time I revisit this game.

Yes, bioshock was released in 2007. But regardless, if you love steampunk games.. I actually played bioshock infinite (bioshock 3) first. That got me interested in Bioshock 1 and 2. I love the way bioshock ties into bioshock 3, yet each game is like its own story - a chapter after chapter. Bioshock 3 is the most different of the 3, while bioshock 1 and 2 are connected. I cant wait for the 4th one, and now I have to go and beat bioshock 2.

If you love storylines and steampunk games, play this then go from there.
