Honestly, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Yes, it has all the cancerous givings of a modern live service game - but the gameplay itself it fun enough to keep you engaged. The combat and traversal systems work well with each other, and once you get traversal down moving around feels very fluid. Mission variety isn't super expansive but passable.

Story is decent, it tries to evoke a James Gunn movie and it does alright at that. The banter between squad members is amusing and you get to see lots of familiar faces from the DCU.

The loot aspect is kind of a let down admittedly, rarities don't seem to mean much and most items within their category feel a little samey. Your usual white/green/blue/purple/yellow rarities are there along with a higher Signature rarity and also set items, there's plenty of slots to loot for (guns, shields, grenades among other things, Borderlands style), but very little of the loot actually stands out.

If you're into DC, get this while it's on sale. You can play it solo just fine, but I can see it being a legit fun game if you play it with friends. It's an ideal game to hop in and out of. I can't recommend it a full price (due to the inclusion of a battle pass, among other reasons), but at 95% off? Just get it, you're guaranteed your money's worth.

Doom: TDA trades in the mobility and a high skill ceiling of Doom Eternal for an all-out brutal power fantasy. Combat feels good, level design is decent (some levels just feel a tad too big and colour pallettes are pretty similar overal) and there is a good variety in weaponry and enemies. Fully customisable difficulty means you can make the game as easy or hard as you desire.

Downsides: the glory kill system is basically gone which is very odd decision for a game that gives you more tools of violence than its predecessor. Also fairly limited content for a Doom game, the campaign is the only option available to you and even though it lasts around 15 hours (collectible hunting and cutscenes included), once it's done - it's just done.

If you like Doom, you'll still like this. If you wanted story-driven Doom, this is the one for you. It's great, it's brutal, it's badass and I do recommend it, just perhaps not at full price.

Note: during the entire playthrough I have not experience any sort of glitches, bugs or crashes aside from one or two instances of texture clipping and some slow loading textures, which is likely due to the fact I installed the game on an HDD.

Good mix of ARPG's, wave survival games and Hades. The mobs are a little on the simple side and low in variety, but the game is still in EA. Can't wait to see what this turns into.

I was hesitant to recommend it at first, for one, sole reason: the mapping (of the OST songs at least) will definitely mess with your head at first. You're supposed to be drumming but a lot of the notes are mapped to other instruments or even the vocals on occassion. If you can get over that - I did, but it took me a few hours - there's a lot of fun to be had.

- Multiplayer! Showcase your bad timing vs your friends' bad timing in a real time race.

- Unlockable hammers.

- A great original OST with quite a bit of variety, even though the OST is mainly folk, metal, and folk metal. For me this was a huge plus and the reason I'd take it over Beat Saber.

- Leaderboards - you're not beating CaptainCLAWWW, but it's fun to try.

- Some good cardio while smashing your VR controllers around.

- Custom songs are available but unfortunately have no official multiplayer support.

It's free and it's great. You have literally no reason not to try it unless you get scared easily.

Would gladly pay for a longer version of this.

The result of mixing Binding Of Isaac, Metal Slug and Hotline Miami. Quite addictive, you always want to do "one more run".

An intriguing point-and-click adventure with some very tangible Silent Hill vibes to it. The strong psychological horror elements dressed in a very well composed and melancholic soundtrack makes it easy to get lost in this.

Fully voice-acted, which is a plus, but also brings some flaws to the table. Some of the dialogue is over-acted at times and is not always written particularly naturally. The characters tend to descend into long winded monologues at times which comes off as desperate attemps at exposition. I think it would have been possible to say more, using fewer words.

Missed out on Kickstarter unfortunately, but I will definitely look forward to the full release of this. Give it a shot if you're into either point-and-clicks or psychological horror - it's free and definitely worth your time.

A brief love letter to the original Resident Evil. It's quite difficult and it could do with a bit of polish, but it's a perfect pick for when you're feeling that RE itch without wanting to sit through an entire game.

I owned the originals on CD-ROM back in the day. Playing this on Halloween of all days sure brought back some memories.

The port seems very polished and being able to set the controls and aiming to modern standards is great. With the modern graphic options, the game looks pretty damn sharp.

If you're a fan of the originals, definitely get this. If you didn't play them, this is a great time to experience them. Be warned though, Blood is fairly hardcore.

I originally received this game for free on Playstation as part of a monthly PS+ lineup. Now I decided to get a Steam copy as well, since this game really is worth the money.

It's all boss fights. Then some walking. Then more boss fights. And a LOT of dying.

It's punishinly difficult but every completed battle brings an enormous sense of accomplishment.

The game oozes character and has an amazing soundtrack to boot. It pushes all the right buttons much like Hotline Miami's mix of ingredients did.

Be warned though, this game is not for everybody. If you're not patient, unwilling to learn and adapt and give up easily, you will not find enjoyment in this game. It is very much a hardcore experience.

Definitely recommended if you want a challenge. Just know what you're getting into.
