Lots of fun, especially if you like environmental-survival challenges and enjoy building and progression.
Great storms, that's one of the really cool features of this game, they keep you on your toes ... and the predatory animals are truly savage. They will murder you in a heartbeat.
Gathering, building, and crafting keep the gameplay slow, steady, progressive, and fulfilling.
It also offers ample time to talk with IRL friends or ones you meet up with on discord, or wherever.
If you play solo, the game also accounts for that with a solo tech tree. But I would still recommend finding a few friends to play with. Every game is more fun that way.
