Unbelievably addictive, phenomenally educational, surprisingly realistic and massively entertaining.

Early Access Review
While graphics and animations are perhaps not world-class, they're quite charming and do the job - and the gameplay is great fun, especially with a friend or two. Building is intuitive and flexible, exploration is fun, and fights, while not the most interesting, is appropriately varied and challenging.

A masterpiece of focused design and creativity. Both an engrossing city sim and an enfolding drama that keeps you glued to your screen for "just one more day".

A game so simple and fun you can have a non-gamer friend download it, play it, and be laughing their heads of within ten minutes.

Fun, humorous, action-packed and not too long - provided you don't go all in on challenges, of course. Well-made, with a lot of variability in gameplay, although levels get somewhat samey after a dozen hours.

I've clocked 20 hours in this game. It's an extremely attractive game; sound, gameplay and art are all beautiful. The difficulty is sometimes unforgiving but that's par for the course, I wouldn't have it any other way.

However, I just ran into an instant dealbreaker bug. After finishing the two first seasons and playing until the 4th mission of the 3rd season, suddenly the game stopped accepting inputs; I couldn't attack, transform or interact. There was no way of completing the mission. And since ending the mission (or shutting the game down) destroys your season's progress, this means there's no point in playing this game. It can take away hours of your progress at any time without warning. Gamebreakers like this might be tolerated during beta; this game is supposed to be a finished product.

This little gem of a game is not quite like anything else. Its abstract, top-down simultaneous take on zombie survival horror and tower-defense is simple yet challenging and varied, and its wild random gameplay, goofy comic-book "storyline" and awesomely out-of-place Mariachi soundtrack make for a metric ton of laughs.

Sporting a cute and original paper-cutout graphical style and an interesting world-reorienting movement system, AYIM can be interesting, especially if you love games like VVVVVV and Portal - but the lacklustre audio, sometimes annoying controls, and lack of a storyline make this game more a curiosity than a really worthwhile gaming experience.
