A very good open world action/adventure with some RPG elements, I truly believe this is the best Lord of the Rings game I have played thus far. I feel the story is ok but nothing memorable, the big thing is the game play and the nemesis system. The fighting mechanics are interesting, graphics very good for a game of this age and game play moves along well. I got the game of the year edition and it was on sale at that time. But it is well worth the 20 bucks with all the dlc's added even if not on sale. The only thing I can say is it took a bit to get used to the controls as the game was made for a controller but does work with KB&M just fine. As always I suggest checking out some game play videos to see if you like it.

This is a very fun game with a well written "twisted" story. The fighting part plays similar to X-Com to a point with some differences. The game uses cards to enhance your characters abilities and your henchman. There is a variety of weapons and items to buy and an overland map that keeps the story moving along. Your choices can make a big difference in the game from finding better loot to gaining crippling injury's. I loved the game and it seems to have a replayability by making different choices. As always I recommend checking out a couple You-tube videos and see for yourself.

Between having limited lives and only giving you 24 levels you are way better playing one of the many clones you can get for free.

Good story, plenty of weapons, no bugs or crashes at all in my play through on win 7 64 PC. Is a good old shooter type that took me around 22 hours to finish. And you get a bonus of playing the old old game in the game. Got it on sale and recommend it. The only con I can see is the 40+ gig download.

If you are looking for a FPS with mechs and nothing else this is for you. If you want a game like MW4 that had single player and multiplayer this is not it. The problems with this game are a lot. From very unbalanced unlocked mechs to the unbalanced teams. A new player will find that they are at a disadvantage until they get all the unlocks for their mechs. And even after that you will find the match making is not that great. Many, many times you will find yourself on teams that are not balanced.

Before this update I would rate the game 9/10. After this update I give it 2/10. The main problem is not what they added but what they removed. If they only would of kept the valve quick play pub servers a ton of players would not have had a problem with the update. But by removing these servers they forced players to use the new casual system. And let me tell you it is not casual. Some of the things we lost I will list below.

1. You can not just look for a valve pub server to join quick any more. You have to join a que to play on the valve servers.
2. This que can take up to 4 to 10 minutes to get in (for me)
3. If you want just one map expect to wait even longer
4. They removed some maps that were in the rotation before this update
5. After one side wins you get to go through it all again because you just can't keep playing without queing up again.

Yes people will say go play the community servers but 90% of them are trash. The rest usually have 24/7 of the same map or don't have players on the maps you want to play. So until valve corrects this I can't bring myself to give this a thumbs up.

This is the first Age of Wonders game I played and I can tell you it is a fantastic game. As of now I have 368 hours in the game since I bought it back at the summer sale of 2015. After playing it for a bit I had to have the expansions because they just added so much more to the game. If you are thinking about getting this the first thing I recommend doing is always check out some game play videos on youtube of the game.

As of 11/2016 I now have 522 hours. Great game.

As of now this game is a bit to arcade type for me and simplified to give it a thumbs up at this time. The build tools are very limited in what you can make and the only thing that can tell one module apart from an other is the story the builder tells. The maps are randomly generated, there is no scripting to make custom systems and you can't even make custom items for your monsters or players. As for the game play it reminds me of an arcade game where you spam your powers over and over with a cooldown system. The spell system is nothing like D&D with the use of spell trees and the same goes for the skills. If you are looking for a game anything like NWN then this is not it. If your looking for an arcade game with some of the elements of D&D then you will be happy with this.

One of the best RPG/Fantasy games I have played to date. The open world type of play is great and the graphics are wonderful looking. You can craft a lot of things from potions, armor, weapons and so on. Your character has many customizable options so you are not so restricted like you are in many other games. And add to that a mod community to keep your game alive and fresh to boot.
