Look, does Days Gone have its rough edges? Like, compared to God of War? Yeah, there's a little tub squeezing over the jeans, but there's a lot to love with this game. It's ambitious, has strong performances and writing (especially the character Rikki), and I found myself really digging the vibe/world Bend created. It's a shame Sony won't let them make a sequel, because if THIS is the studio's freshman attempt, damn, they're going places. I look forward to whatever comes next from Bend Studios.

Is it Halo 3? No. Nothing is. But Infinite is a damn fun game.

Writing this to combat the recent negative reviews by racists.

To any racist defending that sad Youtuber, you're a joke.

Firewatch is a great experience. Is it perfect? No. Would I have reigned in some of the conclusions Henry comes to? Yes. But the character writing and voice acting is superb, and far outshines the few narrative blemishes. And wow is it a pretty game. Enough cannot be said about the art style and lighting, which capture the feel of the old National Parks posters from back in the 30s and 40s. One of the most beautiful games ever made, period.

So again, racist, you're a joke.

It was OK. Interesting premise, but the dialog was cheesy, and though the VFX were understandably not top notch, it was a little distracting at times. If I didn't know he was capable of it, I'd suggest the filmmaker hasn't heard of "show, don't tell," because the film cared too much about word vomit/shotgun exposition from the narrator than giving its highly competent/compensated actor the chance to show us the hell of that bleak existence through, you know, emotion. Too much was crammed into a trim runtime, and the result is a waste of Sigourney's talent on a generic, throwaway military character.

Increasingly with each of his releases, I am convinced Blomkamp is an idea man who needs to be paired with a good writer. A cool plot alone does not an impactful story make.
