Ignore the poor graphics, and this mmo is deep, with some great little quests, some memorable npc's and friendly players. Be prepared to grind.

I've owned this game for a few years and I've watched it get better and better over those years. It's a decent little survival game that keeps me coming back for more.

Not worth the asking price. Graphics make me feel like I'm playing an early 2000 game. It feels like Deep Silver found this at the back of the sofa and tried to pass it off as new. Landscapes are barren. Cities/towns/buildings are barren. Running simulator with a few encounters every now and then. Multi-player/co-op is a joke. 1 other player can join you but, they don't get gear from quest lines, they don't progress their story line and they're screwed if you both get caught.
When you finally get to a mission point you either succeed and continue on your way or die and get randomly moved away from the mission area. Once the mission is over you can either, loot what you can carry and head to the nearest merchant, usually a five minute running/walking journey, or choose to just take what looks like might be needed. Most of the time it's guess work on whether that loot is required.

If this game was tagged as an Early Access game and priced at about £15 then I would probably still advise against buying it in it's current state.. This is full release and £35. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This game was terrible for the first few days. People couldn't login and when they did they were faced with severe lag and low fps, all that's changed.
if you meet the bare minumum for requirements then you're going to find it's not going to look very pretty. I run an i5 3570, 16GB ram, gtx 1060 6GB graphics card and its installed on a 500SSD. The game has set me at high settings but I've lowered a few things to get the best performance I can.
I've had 300 hours playing Ark and I stopped playing when they released early access DLC. This game is so much better than Ark, in my opinion. Think of it as Ark with pirates and sinking ships. Don't compare it to Sea of Thieves(SoT). SoT was a full release, this is early access and there is already so much more to do in this game than in SoT.
Just like the release of ARK in early access this has had it's problem but, the devs are working really well with the community in keeping players informed of new patches, fixes and whats's to come. I highly recommend to Ark lovers and those who've always wanted to be a pirate. For those of you who want to play the game but don't want to be keelhauled there's PVE. Long may this game keep getting better.

EDIT: If I could give the game a middle of the road rating, I would. I'm still reccomending the game but, I am peeved that they have only recently enabled Battleeye anti-cheat. When I bought the game on release it installed Battle eye and I was expecting anti cheat to be enabled from the start. Now I think I know why my ships sunk without any explanation. 80 hours wasted, hopefully the next 80 won't be.

One of the best f2p models I've found plus. it's STAR TREK.

Never played a Star control game before this one. Enjoyed the game. No crahes or issues. Didnt realise I could have taken a bit more time exploring the verse rather than just following the main story. I will have to revisit when they bring out some DLC.

Could be a good game if they ever get round to ironing out small, yet annoying, bugs. My main annoyance is with the placeholder texts appearing after every load of a saved game. This can also cause game text not appearing at all. The problem has been reported since the release of Intrigue and their solution is to verify the game files. Verifying game files fixes the problem until your next save and load, then the problem presents itself, again. I'm not verifying game files eveytime I load a save. This problem exists on sandbox and campaign games. Fix your game and I'll fix my review :)

Having only ever played Bard's Tale III I was expecting a similar kind of vibe from IV, I am pleasently surprised that this surpassed that game on all counts. I have played nothing but Bard's Tale IV since it's release and have enjoyed every minute. I started the game on a HDD and the load times were taking much too long. I went out and bought a SSD to improve this and, holy smoke, did it improve it. Better fps, no hitching, cooler cpu and loading between 5 and 15 seconds. The lastest update has improved the load times for HDD but I couldn't wait :)

Every new area has some lovely scenery, each time I came to a new area I was impressed that it didnt look like the last area. Great puzzles, superb fighting mechanics and the ability to take your time and explore as much as you dare.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who's in to turn based combat, rich story telling(every npc is voice acted), puzzles. You can be sure you get your moneys worth out of this game.

99 hours I spent exploring, fighting and sometimes just standing and listening to the excellent sound/music/songs that bring even more life to the game. I'll be playing it again, soon, as I missed two of the achievements, and I know I'll enjoy it all over again with a different set of characters and skills.

Was a promising game till they released it as a finished item and put all their efforts in to the mmo. No longer showing as 'Early Access' and still full of bugs. Fairly sure some items/props etc that was mentioned in the EA weren't added before they released it, either.

Edit:

After playing for a few hours on a mates server and on official servers I am changing my negative to a positve review, even though my mates server was unexplicably wiped the game is so addictive it was fun getting back to the stage I was at before the wipe. I still hope they give us an option to run our own server using ip address as my isp doesnt allow Nat Looping etc. It was fun learning the basics on a private server where you didnt have the worry of losing evertything to pirates(other players) Once you get the hang of Zero-G the game really opens up. Base building is fun. Gathering modules to expand and looting derelict structures, all the while wondering if someone is raiding your ship/base while you gather makes things rather frantic. One small boost in the wrong direction can have dire consequences. Debris fields keep you occupied a little too much at times as they do damage to your ship and buildings creating hull breaches that suck your precious oxygen and destroy power.

Going to start mining soon and see about getting a fabricator so I can build more stuff.
