The first 3/4 of the main campaign I just couldn't believe my eyes as it was a near perfect game imo....scary, challenging, atmospheric, with some gameplay variety...The developers just nailed perfectly the first movie DNA and provided some memorable moments...

The last 3 or 4 hours became a bit tedious....backtracking through old areas, difficult bordering on unfair gameplay and encounters with the alien...it was a bit of a chore to get to the end...

Nonetheless, a very good game that every fan of the alien franchise and horror games should play :)

In that over abundance of big game releases this year, I decided to play this instead of the numerous empty, microtransactions filled, and somewhat brainless AAA projects...and I'm just glad I did.
+Non linear game design that makes you think about your actions and decisions
+No hand holding whatsoever. You have to pay attention at what's happening, and takes notes
+Intricate, brillant level design
+Graphics, sounds, and controls greatly updated, while staying true to the essence of the original

-Light to moderate backtracking through previously visited sections
-Couple of small bugs here and there-mostly physics stuff
