Boring.

Poorly designed patch system, even given the ancient system that Steam uses and the fact that ARK is a huge game on disk. Other companies adjust their patching strategy with Steam's system in mind (Path of Exile recently did that after years of slow patching). But not Wild Card. You spend hours waiting for the game to patch, longer if you try to watch a movie over the internet while you wait, since the patches won't download completely in one pass before starting the actual patching process. So either the further downloads of the patch or your Netflix get slowed. Not recommended.

Liked enough to buy it on Epic.

Simple mechanics, but deviously complex as you play further in. Get out the pen and paper, you're gonna need them for some of the more complex puzzles :)

Out of the entire series, this game is the least fun.

This game can't be used without a controller. Steam Big Picture mode warns that it was designed for KB+M when you try to use the Steam Controller. THe devs insist that this is better played with a controller. It's a variation on a flight simulator and if they took the time to go play WoW for a while they'd figure out that it can be done with a keyboard and mouse very simply and easily (we don't need the realism of actual plane controls). Until they change their minds and fix this to use keyboard and mouse (assuming they haven't gone under) I would suggest everyone just pass on this and any other game fromt the developer/publisher (unless they come with a demo so you can see if they've come to their senses).

Since I can no longer play the game due to a botched update I can no longer recommend this game.

The best indication that the pack went through is when you log into the game and the patron icon is no longer gray. If you were logged into the archeage store before the purchase, shut down your browser then restart and log into the website again and as others said, the Legends starter pack will now show for purchase for 0 credits. Just click through and buy at 0 credits and then go get your items in the ingame mail system.

I can't recommend this game until they fix the mouse smoothing. Game menus leave you with a mouse cursor that acts like its at the end of a 500 foot long fishing pole. This leaves you waiting for the cursor to catch up after you move the mouse. This mouse behaviour is also totally at odds with how the ingame camera behaves leaving you to juggle two different play styles depending on what you are doing ingame. So until the developer (RED DOT) decides to fix this, both they and PlayWay will be on my do not buy list.
