I have a really special place in my heart for janky half-life 1 and 2 mods. This is a low stakes, silly co-op focused standalone mod, and scratches a strange itch that vaguely reminds me of the good ol days of Sven Coop. It's really not perfect but it is a stupid sort of fun and it's free. You can still find 1 to 2 servers with 4 or 5 people in it and that's all you need to have a good time, but playing objective maps alone is basically impossible and there are no bots, so don't bother unless you can find a server with some people.

When you get infected and turn into a zombie while on a co-op objective map, you either die 3 times or kill a human 3 times before you respawn as a human again. If you have 9+ people playing, you can go nuts and try to kill the AI spawned soldiers that guard certain points or your human teammates until you get 3 and go back to human yourself. When you kill a human teammate they also just respawn as a human and don't get infected like when they die to an NPC zombie. However, when you are at 4 or 5 people or less, you might want to only kill AI soldiers or just purposely get yourself killed 3 times to go back to human, because if every human dies or turns zombie at once, the match ends, and since the game doesn't have many players anymore, you might never get to finish an objective map if you don't semi-ignore that turn zombie mechanic which seemed better balanced for full servers of 10+ players
