Can't wait to play the game but so far performance is not good. There is likely some updates and new graphics drivers that need to be released to optimize the game for both Nvidia and AMD. Will change my review once performance issues are fixed

EDIT: Changed my review from thumbs down to thumbs up as the 1.04 patch fixed many performance issues. There are still some there but the game is now playable maxed out with raytracing when using AMD FSR 3. on quality mode.

More patching is needed but the game is excellent so far. Deserves the praise.

EDIT 2: This is possibly the GREATEST survival horror experience I've ever had and I've been playing these types of games for 25 years now. This remake is better than the original and yes I did play the original upon release in 2001.

I cannot stress enough just how wonderful this game is. It continues to excite, scare, and inspire me. Here's to hoping we get more amazing remakes from Bloober in Silent Hill. This is truly a next-generation experience. Please buy and support this game. I'm so happy how good this game is.

EDIT 3: Having now 100% the game, gotten all Steam Achievements, and unlocked all 8 endings I feel this massive void sinking in. This game brought back so many memories and feelings. It truly felt like I was experiencing Silent Hill 2 for the first time again and that is a feeling I never thought i'd get to enjoy. I've been listening to the soundtrack all day. I can't get the Theme of Laura out of my head. I wish i could experience this remake for the first time once more. What a phenomenal experience this game is.

EDIT 5: Nothing will ever beat this soundtrack. After all these years of gaming, there's something about it that hits hard and never let's go. Akira Yamaoka created a TRUE masterpiece.
