Great military based FPS. Sound and effects are incredible. ICO update is great move in a direction toward a more tactical game. The negative reviews against it are mostly hyperbolic. There's definitely room for improvements like with the bipoded updates way too unstable but overall positive and great update.

the free mod was just as good

just like the modding ability of the source angine and the games associated with it Arma II's really shinning qualitys come from the emmense amount of extra (user-created) content.
