The game you play when you want to know what it's like to be a loot goblin that can temporarily get stronger by gobbling up loot.

My initial experience and observations from playing have been positive so far. It's a game that definitely has potential as the open world crafting/survival + tower defense game combo almost always immediately gets my attention. After all, what better way to enjoy the effectiveness and utility of your base than to use it to neutralize screens full of invading enemies!

It's certainly an "Early Access" release, as the UI and HUD could use some improvement both in appearance and in terms of adding additional useful information for the player (i.e. the ability to mark and apply waypoints on the map). Having a timer for processing/refining based stations in addition to the progress bar would also be a welcome addition.

One main thing that I considered a bit lacking was information to the player on how to acquire certain materials. It would be helpful if there was some sort of index/codex/encyclopedia to let the player know in general what types of materials are collected raw vs. needs to be refined at X crafting station. For example, I'm currently on the task to create a construction kit, yet I haven't seen the gravotmetal (sp) that's required to make it. Maybe I just missed something but for a component that basic, I would have expected the materials to be quite easy to come by.

Outside the typical things I look forward to in these types of games (character progression and general offense/defense itemization), I'm particularly interested in doing a lot more with the mission/bounty system where the player can earn credits from doing a variety of transportation/logistics and kill/boss fight type engagements. Those credits can then be spent in NPC vendor shops to buy gear, components and other items the player can also craft eventually. I always like it when the game offers a starting player multiple sources of getting geared, rather than focusing exclusively on looting or crafting (but not both).

The first few transportation missions I did were made a lot easier by the use of the jetpack and I certainly look forward to progressing to the point where I can do those in vehicles.

As far as combat goes, the melee looks flashy and is satisfying, though there are slight "floaty" vibes when it comes to the impact of melee hits. However, this does make it quite smooth for the player to dance and strafe around the opponent while landing a flurry of blows. Doing so with a glowy lightsaber-ish blade as I move about in a flowing cape just makes it look that much more badass.

Overall the visuals and features (while not the best I've seen) are enough to keep me engaged as I progress to the content that I'm most curious about. At a price point of a few USD under $20, it feels like I'll easily get 40-50 hours of good gameplay out of it, which for me is a great deal.

Tried it because of the Greek theme...

Enjoying it because I like open world crafting games...

Still playing it because let's be honest, who doesn't want to be a flying hoplite putting mythical creatures and other evil creations in their place?

Plus, I need my Greek fantasy fix while I wait for Titan Quest II to come out.

It's no Starcraft 2, but it doesn't need to be in order to provide a satisfying and engaging old-school RTS experience, which it does.

What I like the most is that training units doesn't require nearly as much APM as you might be used to, as you don't have to play whack-a-mole by clicking/selecting each building that can create units in order to train units from those buildings.

The character models aren't the best thing I've ever seen, but they certainly get the job done.

If you like RTS give it a try. Even if it doesn't meet all or enough of your expectations today, it certainly has the potential to in the future.

There are two things you'll get better at by playing this game:
- Finding people's panic rooms in their house IRL.
- Finding hostages or the bomb during the drone phase of Rainbow Six: Siege.

Too Angry To Write A Review!

Seriously though, good concept for a clicker/idle game, but feels a bit janky from time to time.

Looks pretty simple on the surface, but it is interesting how you can collect different miners, each with their own raw stats ( strength, storage, mining speed, movement speed, critical rate and critical damage) and bonus ability (which you need to click the info icon to see on the stat page). Some of them are quite interesting, and it would certainly be worth it for the player to capitalize on the associated potential synergies. For example, many of them have different ways of being able to damage multiple blocks per "swing".

While the main part of the game is clearing dirt/ore/gems and other shiny things on each floor, in parallel you are also managing the automated production of refined metal bars and gems by using the "Forge". The player can use those to purchase and/or upgrade the different miners that are available. The upgrades outside of that which you can purchase are pretty basic, mostly either "Mining Power" or "Tap Damage" (by raw value or by percentage). And as you expect there's the typical reset/rebirth/prestige mechanic to lock in incremental bonuses to help future clears progress faster.

There are different "worlds" the player can send their mining team to based on the deepest floor cleared on the main world. Each one specializes in providing certain resources to the player.

I did get a chuckle out of how (at least in the beginning where I am) the "Boss" in the game is a small square of blocks the player essentially has to clear with their team + clicker in order to "beat" it. In short, it's essentially a non-combat version of a DPS check for your current "build". I do like how you don't actually have to spam click for tap damage, you can just hold down LMB.

As far as the microtransactions go, they are even disabled from view by default when you go to the "Shop". Moreover, the "Gems" currency is something the player can easily incrementally earn by clearing "Achievements" and daily "Quests" as well as the "Tasks" that show up in the UI at the top of the "Floor" section of the screen.

Overall, it's a pretty decent mining themed idle/clicker with a splash of "hero collection" and roster management to boot. Though for some it may be lacking when it comes to the depth of different mechanics at play within the gameplay loop.

Though it has a minimalist art style made up primarily of icons, arrows and various NGUs (numbers going up) overlayed in hexes, it also has a very clean and simplistic menu based UI (reminiscent of Windows 95/98 days). But don't let that cause you to underestimate what lies ahead in the gameplay loop. When it comes to building your settlement, managing production chains, and growing it into a modern civilization, there's a good amount of depth to this idle game.

It starts out in the beginning with a simplistic management of worker population, happiness and research, but quickly turns into a much more involved management and balance of other natural/processed/crafted resources and components as the player progresses through the tech tree.

Early buildings require little to no products in order to function, so it's mostly making sure you keep your worker count high enough to continue to grow the settlement while also producing a decent amount of research. However, as you progress the tech tree, new buildings and structures require inputs from a variety of new production and refinement based buildings. In addition, you'll also unlock the ability to take advantage of positioning based bonuses that come from constructing certain building adjacent to resources nodes.

Overall, if you're already familiar with city/factory building games, there's very little that should surprise you at first, making this a very straightforward game to get in to. The more I progress in the game however, it becomes clear there's a degree of complexity and strategy lurking up ahead waiting to see if I have what it takes to deal with it when it arrives.

For the city or factory builders out there, I'd say this is a must try, even if you don't typically leap at the chance to play something from the idle genre. After all, for the price of free there's not much to lose!

Rock and Stone?

So far the game is a pretty simple idler with some clicking opportunity, but the progression is a bit of a slow burn.

On the plus side, there are quite a few mechanics and abilities to unlock if you decide to persevere through the grind.

Would go to Trader and spend $120,000 worth of resources in exchange for $150,000 resources again. ~10/10

Fun space themed idle game with no "clicker" aspects.

I particularly like the crafting mechanic when it comes to processing resources obtained and converting them into the components needed to manufacture modules (and their upgrades) you want for your ship. While crafting, the player also gets points to spend on passive upgrades to a variety of stats and other elements. In addition, the progression that unlocks new ship, weapon, utility module types is also pretty satisfying.

You can even overcharge the stats of your ship by converting one of the resources into energy on top of the other buffs the ship has available. However, you can only overcharge a certain number of systems before incurring consumption penalties that can drain power quickly and thus end the buff effect. This part is probably the closest to active management of ship systems to generate well timed buffs to push through a specific fight.

As you progress through the Sectors even more mechanics are unlocked for the player to utilize for the purposes of clearing enemies with more pew pew and boom boom.

Long story short, if you are into idle games do yourself a favor and give this one a try.
