Steam clearly can't calculate how many hours I've actually played this game...

This game can be a brutal mistress with few rewards, except surviving. I'm "only" 90 hours into the game. This is the type of game that requires hundreds. If that is not your thing, don't get it. If you enjoy harsh survival, gorgeous landscapes and RTS combined with squad tactics, survival, crafting, and some interesting lore ... this is a great game for you.

Kind of like Skyrim meets Minecraft. Good graphics. Easy combat, with a decent mix of enemies and difficulties. Open world, leveling up, building, quests for exploration, etc. Lots of fun, just realize it's open beta, and there are glitches. And there's multiplayer if you have access to a server, or host one yourself (for a fee).

Graphics and story are quite good. The real standout here is the battle mechanics, and the variety of ways to attack your foes. Plus, it's nice to see a heroine who actually wears armor and clothes. I'd like more armor options, and maybe a couple of different weapons, but altogether it's quite good. Horizon: Forbidden West releases sometime in the near future, and that's reported to be even more spectacular.
