Where did the last 31 hours go? tl;dr - This game builds a vivid world of it own which takes time but feels amazing as the story develops. If you don't have the time or patience, then don't play it.

Personally, I struggled between wanting to just get on with the story and FOMO from not exploring every path. This caused me to tell a couple of characters off. However, when one door closes, another opens (or unlocks), which I thought was really cool. For some checks, even failing opens new possibilities.

My tips:
- Save progress on your own. Don't rely solely on Autosave.
- Invest in thoughts over individual stats. They can unlock really good bonuses that free you money wise.
- Take drugs when you need to pass a check. They're often an easy and economic method of passing a check.
- Change clothes for the right bonuses to pass checks. I didn't find there to be any character benefit though some of the responses acknowledged my jacket. :)

This game is amazing and unique. A super fun, non-linear, detective game whose game mechanics don't obstruct a beautiful story.

First off, great soundtrack. This game infuriated me for a good while due to it being unforgiving. Once a building is up, it's up even if it cuts off half your farmland. Yet, I endured and by the end of my last 37 day game, I was drowning in gold making me think that I should have walked away and just let the game play till day 100.

The secret is to build walls beyond the farm lands and campsites. As you go back and forth between both ends of your Kingdom you'll be able to continually recruit vagrants and collect gold. I had probably 20 villagers in reserve due to recruiting them each time I passed by.

Growth depends on the number of people you have to generate income, so continually recruiting new villagers is essential. Avoid expanding over the campsites by sparing each tree closests to them on both sides. Explore beyond them to the next open area and you'll likely be able to find a place to build a wall or a tree to cut down.

Can't wait to start the sequel.

For the money this game was pretty fun. Breaking out of the vLan that you start in (not multiplayer) teaches you a lot of the basics and creates the feeling of earning the ability to play multiplayer which is fun. After that, you learn a bit about navigating around the game and scripting which is where the game shines.

Unfortunately, the game suffers from not really having enough story content or guideance. It uses Discord as a bit of a crutch and while I feel I DID get my money's worth, I couldn't really justify playing it after I had made my first real scripting breakthroughs. It felt like I was grinding for no reason. Yes, I could have kept exploring and cracking T2 locks, but why?

There isn't really much of a pro-active community in the game that you can recognize. No real reason to join a corp or for a corp to recruit. I do think this game has the potential to be a lot more but right now, I feel like I've hit it's limits for moderate player.

tl;dr: It’s rare when a game comes along that is this good.

A year ago I bought Anti-Chamber and conceptually put it in a box as a first person puzzle game that induced me with nausea each time I played it. A year later I was cranking through a point and click adventure game, which felt mindless, and remembered overhearing a conversation with Alexander Bruce at PAX Prime where he discussed his passion for creating games which required you to solve real puzzles versus simply performing a set of actions in order. I decided to give AntiChamber another try.

Diving back into the game the nasea was still there but this time I solved a few puzzles and made it to the first gun, after which I was hooked. I couldn't wait to retrace my steps and try different ideas with this new tool. Each color, sound, and shape increasingly had more meaning. I started paying attention to every detail, using the command center more effectively, and mulling over each twist, turn, angle, sound, shape, and color I encountered. As I moved deeper through the world I found that my exploration was rewarded making the challenge of finding secret compartments and solving each new puzzle that much more compelling. By the end you feel like a super hero, able to defy gravity and solve any puzzle with a sense of fearlessness. This is no longer just the Anti-Chamber but a world where you dominate the possibility of failure, all the while knowing you’re not alone and there’s more to discover.

The excitement in fact drives you to the saddest part of the game, though it doesn’t happen before taking you on a wild ride with a spectacular finale. Now that I’ve finished the game I feel a bit weird. Satisfied? Yes, but coated with a bit of sadness for a game I came to respect as something beautiful, simplistic, surprisingly personal, and rare. At a time when there’s a lot to be distracted by in the world this game provides one of the most unique and timeless gaming experiences I’ve ever had and will likely have in the future. It'll continue to be a rare relic buried amongst the piles and piles of entertainment that have come since it’s release for those adventurers looking for something truely unique.

Don’t pass it up. My advice? Buy it, play it, but not too quickly.

What a great game! So appreciative that the devs ported it over to Mac and Linux.

At first, the game feels stuck on it's rails though the more you play, you start to discover that you have more power than previously thought. The way the gameplay subtly mounts throughout the game leaves you wanting to run through it again and again.

After the first time through, I spent a lot more time thinking about the consequences of the information that I reported. The short length of the game makes multiple run-throughs approachable and really encourages you to go back and make different decisions.

This game is great for a wide audience as well as fans of games like Papers Please, The Beholder, and This is the Police. Check it out!

After completing the final puzzel, the game froze when walking out of the house with no way to save. :| Still had a pretty cool story.
