The only game that allows you to commit Democracide ! No wait scratch that. For Sony Corporate to commit ridiculouside! And then fire their community manager who fought for us and liberty.

Quite simply sublime. Finally someone got it right and captured the control feeling of Wipeout 2097. This isnt a love letter its a whole love library. Buttery smooth and the sensation of speed, well, sublime. Workshop support from a great community and you really cant go wrong. If you have any love for 2097 or Wipeout in general, dive in you wont be disappointed.

If you were burnt by X Rebirth then you are safe. There are a few little bugs but nothing that wont be easily fixed. Its a return to previous X games, immersive, compleling and deep. For new players its important to realise that this is an Empire Building and Managment game and not a space sim like elite or star citizen. Think of it as like the Anno series only with a first person interface. It is however unforgiving and you get little guidence as to the specific ways of the game. A possible frustration for some but its a sandbox, do as you wish, we are not going to tell you what to do. Here is a universe go play.
Its atmospheric and compelling and if you get into it the hours will disappear. The graphics are ok however the lighting is very bad. It has shadows but the textures and lighting contrast are pale and 2D. That annoys me but its a small gripe. Im very happy with my purchase

For X series players - Safe to buy now
For new players - Hold off a small while until the online community has experienced enough to provide better guidence and information to work with.
50/50 Not sure. Hold off until a sale.

Remember: Empire builder not space sim.

Im not sure why this game is getting bad reviews. Its my first MX vs ATV title though so i dont know how it compares to previous version but to my mind Its a very compitent game. Looks great and runs great. I like the physics and the satisfaction of the flow. Its obviously not the deepest title but then i dont think it was ever trying to be. Its arcadey so is it worth full price, no i dont think so but that doesnt take away the enjoyment this game has to offer. Its very relaxing just driving around in free ride and im loving the waypoint races. The rider movement mechanic works great and provides a skill element. All in all a good game.

UPDATE: I have had a lot of crashes at the new 3440 res ultra settings. Also the fear that this base game is just a platform to sell DLC seems unfortuantely to be coming to fruition so factor that into your purchasing decision if you are ok with that,

I have to revise my negative review from a few years ago. Back then the game was vaporware but now its turned into a great finished product. The driving feel is great and the races fun. Im not a fan of Destruction Derby modes but to each there own. Graphically its good and runs great. Sounds could use a little more punch though and the music is extremely poor especially considering the Flatout series. Its not Flatout 2 but if you see this in a sale pick it up without any fear.

A good game. I joined after the 1.3 Atlas Rising patch and I have to admit I haven’t managed to put it down. To realise its actually just a fantasy survival adventure game from a small indie team, is impressive to me. Whilst the marketing was no doubt a disaster, their continued work to rescue their name is working. This surreal galaxy with strange fantasy lore and storyline is engaging and its mechanics drive the exploration and progression. The procedural music is particularly relaxing as well. It’s not a hardcore title at heart but from a pure game perspective, it’s a good purchase, especially if on sale. I just hope the nice feelings of curiosity and discovery it invokes, continues with further updates. A game you can lose yourself in.
