Quite simple Yet Complex World War II Scenario Game.

I can't comment on previous editions but I've enjoyed this one.

For me, this still holds a special Place because it was the first RPG of this nature I ever played and got me into the genre.

The Story in BG2 is epic in my eye's I have played BG1 and for me at least I felt it was a tad dry compared to BG2 where you get everything from Underworld Shadows thieves to Vampire cults with the main bad guy being an insane elven sorcerer who performed experiments on you unlocking new abilities and this is all within the first act.

Then Equipment is something else one of the main appeals is the overtop equipment it's true you can pretty much turn your entire party into an insane unstoppable force with the right equipment and party setup for new players I would recommend an undead paladin hunter.

And there is more there also Dragons you can kill later as it would be a very very difficult battle at starting lv's and then you get some good drops, as well as dragon scales that you can craft into pretty special armour as well so then onto crafting the main guy for this, is in the Docks and there some pretty special and epic weapons and armour you can make for good and evil characters throughout the game.

This Version fixes some bugs but I'll admit I actually miss some of the bugs like the fact boots of speed used to give you entire party haste yer I had a frontline of one dual wield and two with two-handed greatswords with these boots and decent armour you would slice through enemies like butter was kinda broken so it's a good fix.

Then there is shed loads of additional missions you can go do in the wilderness and they're pretty much no time limit on this all tho some mission is time limited with you Party Character mission for every possible NPC party member in the game all of them I found pretty interesting on.

Their romances in the game as well that I personally felt did not detract from the game but added some unique opportunities like Viconia for instance probably one of the strongest Clerics in the game but is Evil through romance it is possible to Change her Alignment and this is good if your playing a Good Playthrough I think you can make her eviler as well.

But there more this is all pretty much around the starting point then you get to travel into the Underdark where you will encounter Umber Hulk and mind flayers as well as a Drow City and another Dragon that leads me onto the monsters in this game there are so many with varies in abilities you have to work to counter with equipment and spells so yes learning tactics to fight them is important.

Gonna finish up because I could write for longer I mean the fact I could write more give this game credit to the length and depth of it I can fully recommend to anyone looking to get into the RPG genre of this kinds I will note combat is not like the hack and slash RPG of today so don't be expecting a Witcher experience these are more squad-based tactical combat there different styles of RPG both good in there own way.

So I looked at many Reviews of this game before Buying it myself I noted quite a few negative but mostly posative but you know what this game is awesome yes there is a few niggly issue with it like no toolbars icons for when your group skill bonus is applied as well as a few minor bugs.

OK so on reading, I read alot on how hard this game can be on normal and there not wrong this game is a true challange on normal you really have to think about your tactics and stratergy you gonna use to win some fights and that is awesome I mean normal indicates that is what the devs wanted the game play to be like and they nailed it.

Your kingdom can fail so after many hour of questing you get your kingdom and unless you manage it right and do the varies quest to restore kingdom status you kindom will fail and it's game over I recommend you save often.

Oh and Boss fight can be very difficult like when I first went into battle agaist Hargulka and Tartuk my god this is hard, I would advise you done side quest and lv up as much as possible and have learned slow spells and well as plenty of buff for you party like haste and barkskin or use potions.

I've personally not enjoyed a IRPG this much since BG II this is even better than Pillars Of Eternity because the story is engrossing I am enjoying even the characters you travel with are good and well voiced acted something Pillars I felt lacked alot oh I still reccommend POE I/II tho as there solid IRPG.

So to sum up this game has a good stroy decent characters to travel with and has very challenging boss fights and even non boss fights can go horribly wrong is you don't postion right could do with some icons to idicate when group skill are in effect and also could do with the option to make the HUD smaller as well.

Thank you for reading I hope it helps some people.
