Hey King! I think I figured it out and TBH it's pretty lame. It's because even though I've installed every possible zombies related DLC add-on, I never installed the "Season Pass" version of the game.

For anyone wondering, this is in reference to a zombies discussion thread I started a few weeks ago in the Black Ops 3 Forums.

From what I can tell, the Season Pass is required in order for those 2 whimsical gobblegums to work in zombies. (You can't just buy all the zombies-specific DLC items).

This means that even if a player owns every possible zombies map and add-on you can buy for Black Ops 3, those 2 gobblegums (projectile vomiting and newtonian negation) still won't work until you pay $49.99 for the entire Season Pass version of the base game.
