Just Boring...

The tactics is OK....
The Story is Sloooooooow....
More cut scenes and talking then actual tactics game play.
I find myself falling asleep while playing.
I just cant do it anymore.

I have played over 1500 hours. So yeah... I like it.

I can reccomend this game with out a doubt.

It takes some time to rap your mind around mechanics, but once you do man its amazing.

It throws all kinds of things at you.

I dont know where people are getting these Advent "burgers" but if i find one more wrapper stuffed under one of these consoles, there is going to be Hell to Pay!!!


so now that i have been playing it more there is alot of issues with game.

1. The slow downs are just Unreal... with the computers being as fast as they are thats just well you know...

2. Snipers should be called average shooters that dont even shoot while on over watch with squad sight

3. Snakes that cant even see you are able to spit poison at you through walls and cielings

4. How is it that on save citizen missions while ranger is cloaked you can save people and not lose cloaking, but on a save vip mission, soon as vip see's you, you lose cloak.

5. just watched cut scene for first black site mission 4 times on same mission...

6. sometime when promoting, the right side choice cannot be picked till later when doing through view soldier tab...

7. disappearing / reappearing advent citizens... unacceptable

8. sometimes the higher levels just disappear

9. targets with no cover, dont result in flanks even while behind them point blank...

10. Enemy able to see me when geometry/physics doesnt allow for that to be possible. (being in center of large 2 story building. enemy walks below next to wall and can see me!!! wtf)

11. when 1 unit is concealed and finds enemy units. enemy units run directly towards unconcealed units as if they were seen. (when enemy units shouldnt even know they are being looked at by concealed unit) really come on... that is a pretty basic mechanic of the game and its broken?
i have also had a full concealed group and had 2 groups of aliens chase me across a map. unacceptable!!!

12. (i am sure i will come up with something soon for here) look, i like xcom but come on really??? these are all things that just shouldnt be.... no game testers...

Now that i am almost up to 12. i take back my thumbs up and give a thumbs down. they really need to fix this mess. its so unbelievably unacceptable. if you like xcom and you are ok with playing with these infuriating issues, then by all means throw your money at people who think you are a fool. $60? i wouldnt pay 2 cents for a peice of crap no matter how nice you have made it smell.

save your money till these issues and more are fixed....

Now that i have played even more. I must say the game is really good. it looks good. it has a lot of optimization. all the new aliens, soldiers, and tech is awsome!!!
The amount of "Wow Cool" far out weighs the amount of "omg, wow, really..."
so, though i stand by my statements and think it is unacceptible to realease a game with the above problems. The game is very much playable and fun. i will again change it to a thumbs up.

and my recent attempts at play make me give a huge all thumbs and Big Toes down.
the omg wth far out ways the cool factor and i cant see this game as nothing but vile bile.

i am personally sick and tired of these game makers that make there games and obviously don't play them or pay game testers to test them extensivly. it is unacceptable to sell me a game that is not complete, with incomplete campaigns, and any bugs at all. the frozen cut scenes look like they just didnt want to pay someone to animate them.

I play these games to enjoy them not be pissed off, because i basicly bought a brick in a box!!!
You know what happens to the guy that sells the brick in the box? if he gets caught that is...

game creators / developers. If you dont love, have the passion, or the pride, or dont get payed enough to put out a close to perfect as possible product. Find a diffrent job losers. This is so unacceptable!!!!
