Anmeldelse fra tidlig tilgang
I can't really talk much about the game itself, I've played it for few games. I hopped on board when they first even uttered a word of the game as I loved the premise, and I've tried to see what's what every 3-4 months to give it a spin, see if it's improved.

Gameplay isn't bad. But jumping Jesus on a pogo stick, are they mad?

They charged for the game, now that I fired the game up again, it's f2p. But instead of... y' know, the usual shmack of games worth of stuff to keep you invested, you get... Tutorial play-money and that's it.

Past business practices tend to be a indication of future practices and in that case... Run, take your visa and run as fast as you can.

Edit:
Typos, and there's more info in comments for whoever might be interested.

But for clarification; no F2P didn't come as a surprise. But the end result in terms of value per pack when compared to competition did. Then again at the time I didn't know competition existed and yes, I fully understood that even if the game would have died a year ago it was my call to put money to an early access title. But that doesn't change that past business practices are a good indication of what's to come

Hi there,

It was always made clear on the store page that Fractured Space was going free to play in 2016, at no point has this plan ever changed nor has it ever been hidden from our customers. What you purchased was a founders pack that gave you early access to the game before it went free to play, and also some in-game bonuses exclusive to founders such as the following:

- Founders status in-game: a unique badge and a permanent XP and credits boost to all earnings
- Goliath Legendary skin for the Colossus (if you purchased Vanguard)
- Artemis legendary skin for the Hunter (if you purchased Vanguard)
- Other unique skins not available to non-founders (Type-G, Europa and Titan Pro skins for various ships, depending on which pack you bought)
- A unique premium ship if you bought the Vanguard pack (the Phantom Ghost)
- 5/10/15 XP and Credits boosters (depending on which pack you purchased)
- 250/500/1000 Platinum in-game currency (depending on which pack you purchased)

Be sure to contact support@edgecasegames.net if you think you're missing any of the above and you purchased a founders pack.

Kind regards,
Stanith

Now if you like one of the games and don’t like the other, that’s your call. But as it stands I can’t see anything I said not holding up to inspection.

But if there's any question I'd be happy to run through the arguments one by one.

Now I'm not saying "omg giev stuff". Company is in their full rights to do whatever they wish with it; even if the game would have never made it out I'd been ok with it. I knew what I was getting into when I took part in early access. I simply wanted a game of the genre this represented. It still does some things better, such as the whole concept of stripping armour and whatnot than its rival.

But at the same time I won't be misrepresented in my own opinion that, for what my 2 cents are worth, I’d take my visa and run as I stated before. I get it that the genre hasn’t seen much competition and as such they’ve been left to roam as they wish; and to same breath I wish them all the luck in the world because competition makes all games involved better. But I’ll be playing Dreadnought meanwhile. Fact to the matter is for 40 USD package (35 or so euros) I get 5 premium ships, some visual fluff and 25€ in terms of their “play money”.

I feel I should clarify myself or risk being misrepresented.

Did I at any point claim that I was owed something, or that what I bought was unclear? Perhaps I said that "OMG IT WENT FREE TO PLAY WHEN IT SAID IT WONT!"? Didn't think I did. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I simply said past business practices are an indication of future business practices. Would anyone care to refute that either? Perhaps people know more than me; but it's certainly something that has so far held true in gaming space.

I wish the game best of luck, certainly. But I'd still take my visa and run away considering 2something euro package from 2 years back (30.11.2014) translates into 500 platinum. For anyone left wondering, that's 2,5€ worth of their in game cash-bought money.

From the very beginning they openly said "This game WILL BE Free-2-Play!"
If you bought it anyways, then you either can't read or are just retarded.
