I just tried this game out and it was really fun! If you have played Realm of the Mad God before, then this game will feel very similar. There are some differences that I've noticed just in the first half hour of playing, and personally I really enjoy them! Enemy attacks have indicators shortly before they happen so you know where the attack will be and have just enough time to step away (or through) the enemy to not get hit. This feels more manageable than the (in my opinion) frantic and very difficult to follow patters of RotMG.

The music is also incredibly fitting for this game, I tend to watch shows on the side while playing games like this but I quite enjoyed leaving the sound on as it really enriched the gameplay in my opinion. The setting for this game is gorgeous as well, and it all ties together really nicely for a fun, action-packed adventure.

On a more critical note, the cash shop feels a little predatory, specifically with how coins are priced. I was introduced to the cash shop with a beginner bundle for just 2000 coins, so I checked how much it would cost to purchase just enough coins for that and the best option was 2300 coins for $20. I checked around the rest of the shop and didn't find anything else that could be purchased for 300 coins, which means I would need to buy even more coins to get to use the 300 coins. This may not bug everyone like it does me, but it is a trend in F2P gaming price models that I am personally tired of.

Overall, I would highly recommend that anyone who enjoys top-down bullet hell give this game a try. It can be downloaded and running in minutes and it's free, so there's nothing to lose.

Incredibly fun card-based dungeon crawler that is easy to pick up and difficult to master. Highly recommend!

Really simply fun. If you've played any FPS games (CoD, Halo, etc) then you already know how to play this. It will feel familiar, but the addition of portals that you can travel and shoot through just brings so much more complexity to the typical gunfight, to the point where if you are adept with using portals you will win most of your gunfights early on.

Case in point, I was playing Shotties and Snipers and saw an enemy running at me. I opened a portal on the wall behind cover and shot one behind him, then nailed him in the back of the head through the portal while he was still trying to reach me.

Just try the game, you'll love it if you're a fan of the FPS genre

This game is just like old school Castlevania, but prettier and more modern. Get it!

EDIT: I've just beaten the game. It's beautiful, well polished, and holds your attention until the end. Still recommending to get it if you enjoy Igavania (Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow, etc.)

If you like Overwatch, but want a game that was around first and offers more depth and strategy than Overwatch, and don't want to be forced to spend a dime to give it a try, and want a better community than Overwatch, download it and play, because you won't be disappointed.

Edit: Still a great game, but I lost access to my account and Hi-Rez has now taken a week to get back with me. Still waiting. Will update my review once I can get back in.

So, if you are looking for a game where you can sink many hours into and experiment with different character builds, this isn't the game for you. However, if you are looking for a little indie gem to spend a few hours with that features local co-op and online multiplayer to play with friends, it's pretty damn entertaining. I mean, for $2... Just get it.

It's a classic feeling action game featuring pretty 2D art. For a $1.49, a very fun game. Playing online will allow you to level faster and be able to play with others (although to host a server requires port forwarding, which is a pain, so beware!) The expansions each offer a new class and Act to play through (except for the Amazon class, but oh well.) It'll provide some hours of entertainment on the cheap.

UPDATE:
Gave it up for about a year or so (due to computer failure) and came back. It is very different, but in my opinion better! There are official servers for playing online now, and the game is still a blast and has a few new Acts to enjoy. Also, there is a huge patch coming in June that promises to further improve the game. Fingers crossed!

I bought this game a long time ago and let it sit in my Library for ages (like I'm sure we all do once Winter and Summer sales roll around. I like to think of doing so as letting the game "age like a fine wine" or something like that). Well, I finally blew the dust off the cover (metaphorically) and grabbed my gamepad to begin playing. I was met with a well-done anime-esque intro matched with beautiful music (including a sick electric guitar and violin, two of my favorites). If you are on the fence about buying this, make the jump. It feels so classic and nostalgic to so many of the older action-rpg titles yet handles well and looks beautiful (the graphics, in my opinion, aged rather well). Buy it, you are sure to enjoy it if you are a fan of arpg's!

This game is awesome. If you haven't already bought it or played it, do it. I picked it up for $5 (with all DLC, aw yeah) and I can see myself putting hundreds of hours into it. If you get stuck, you could even join the group "DDFreeRunsByRequest" to help you out and get you on your feet. What are you waiting for?

Beautiful Japanese women, katanas, badassery galore. Fast-paced and so much fun, I definitely recommend this game. I picked it up on sale for $2.49, and it's DEFINITELY worth at least that much.
