I only bought this game after hearing from friends that the PSN account was optional. Given how playing with friends playing on PS has worked perfectly fine optional is what it is, but now they're looking to force it on us for no adequate reason.

Can't even request a refund because the game didn't exit properly and now I have 18 hours of "playtime".

Played for a few hours by myself. Friend got it too so we had him host a game so we could progress from the start and I joined with my existing character. Picture my surprise when I get to create a character despite having gone in with an existing one and further imagine my greater shock when this overwrote my already existing character. Two or so hours, just down the drain. Up to this point it was a pretty fun game and I'll probably check in again in a few weeks after some patches but this just killed the mood completely.

First offline mission is unplayable since the tutorial dialogue box is undismissable and steals camera control. If that's what I get from the very first impression I get of the actual game I have no desire to see anything else.

Warframe is honestly quite an awesome game.
There's issues a plenty to be sure with the biggest sin being the huge dearth of actual infortmation in the game itself. The extremely active wiki offsets it a bit but the information not actually being in the game is just annoying.
As with most free to play games it's fairly grindy. All of the "pay"-stuff is either cosmetics or "pay to not wait". There's no "pay2win". The premium currency is also tradable between players so even if you don't buy any you can still get the premium currency exclusive stuff if you're willing to put in the time to farm what you sell.
If you manage to get over the huge hurdles it's a pretty damn fun game.
