I played this game a few times with friends and usually on the Brutal difficulty cause we like challenging ourselves. I enjoy the game quite a bit and I like the decoration as well however once you beat the bosses and have the prettiest base there's not much to do. But they did add new bosses so that's cool!


Pros:
+ Solid graphics
+ Okay story
+ Combat is fun and can be challenging
+ Vampire go brrr

Cons:
- After finishing the bosses not much else to do
- idk man I like it better playing with friends?

Worth playing and its cheap.
TW for Death, being drugged, implied SA, and other dark themes.
Listen if you go for the guy who locks you in a dog cage you need therapy, instead go for the guy who avenges you by killing the people who made you comatose.

I love this game. It's so cozy and comfy and it just scritches the itch in the brain for organization. 10/10 recommend.

Fully honest review after completing the game.

I wanted to love this so much and soooo much loved the first game. This game lacked character, the story was repetitive, the sidekick character was boring. The game has a lot that is time gated. The map is either lacking/small in the past areas or its too big and basically empty in Ginormosia. Treasure Groves are boring and you NEED to do them for end game materials and they are RNG where you need to replant them. The game loop isn't bad however all the negatives really pile up. Also mounts were advertised and are terrible. They can't jump small ledges. Multiplayer was advertised and it is bad. You can't just go from zone to zone with your buddy, you can't trade easily. Its not good. Doesn't build up on original instead takes characters from the original and makes them strangelings.

Pros:
+ Cute characters
+ Okay game loop
+ Crafting minigame mostly okay

Cons:
- Repetitive and boring story
- Characters with no real flavor
- Story locked behind "optional" area
- Time gated resources
- Last strangeling requires over 25 days to be able to change them in real time (unless you change your system time :) )
- Strangelings are required to do high end crafts even if you get good gear they are a requirement for the game and its basically like a gacha
- No feeling of actual progression even when you advance the "optional" area you just get high level monsters
- Mounts are extremely slow while walking and they CAN'T JUMP small ledges or swim oh also RNG to get a lot of them
- Tons of RNG involved in gathering in general and you just hope things are good and you get your stupid water mana so you can advance your stupid job
- I hope you like waiting for things to grow :))
- Oh and the game can crash repeatedly if you're unlucky
- Multiplayer is BAD
- They gutted the stories for the Lifes you just get a funny song :)

I feel bad but I genuinely cannot recommend anyone get this game unless you REALLY are desperate for something you want to mindlessly grind for no real payout or any feeling of progression. This feels like a cash grab for people who loved the original game and feels like they are trying to just feed off of that nostalgia with the strangelings. Oh and its expensive for what it is. I would say don't unless its on severe sale for like 15-20 dollars.

Edit: I still think people who feel it isn't dark haven't completed the game. There is a chance for incredibly dark choices especially near the end. I still recommend the game after completing it however if I could have a neutral review I would. I feel like this game could have been a book and had the same impact for me. The choices didn't feel as impactful, the romance was lacking, but I'm glad they finished up the elven storyline. APPARENTLY I picked the worst companion to romance so I will be doing another playthrough to see if its better with someone else. Dude was a tsundere until the very end. You can change how companions interact with eachother and I think that's nice. But also taking my choice from previous games away felt horrible. What's the point? I feel like the combat changing wasn't a bad thing but taking away my achievement for completing it on nightmare is also messed up. If I'm stuck dealing with bullet sponges the entire game then I should get an achievement for it. I also feel like all choices are stuck to companions only and other choices are minor other than the big first one. Most things feel like there is some kind of cannon decision that you can clearly see (at least I can) which makes me feel like it could have been a book. Still I'm willing to replay it and I still recommend it just so people are caught up on the story for the next game. Also hidden ending has me squinting but we can see what they do with it.

For dark try not completing companion quests and see what happens. Even doing them there's still death and I dunno man I felt sad.

TLDR: I get why people don't like the game for the most part but I think its still worth playing. Has dark elements, people who say its woke so its bad are dumb.

So far its good. People don't understand that you have to play the game for over an hour to really experience companions you don't even meet half of them within an hour. Its also still dark themed especially once you're out of the tutorial mission. I'm playing on Nightmare and its challenging I will say that its fun even if I mess up and have to keep trying. I find the companions very likable so far and I've only done one companion quest so far. The companions have their own story lines that start from the bottom and go up it seems so I think its more developed in that way. The skill tree is also interesting and kind of reminds me of sphere grids. Combat can be challenging and feels weighty and good. Like you feel every hit you do, every jump you do. I've been playing on controller and it feels solid. Will say aiming with controller isn't my strong point but I still enjoy it. If it suddenly bombs at the end I will edit my comment. I will say the one negative that I feel is in the game is lack of previous decisions not impacting it. That's the only valid negative comment I see so far. Character customization is intense and has a lot of options. Just in general worth the shot and the new direction doesn't seem so bad! But again I will edit it once I finish.

I would say this one is alright. There's no neutral rating and its a bit more positive than negative cause I'm a fan of the childhood friend trope and I have a weakness for werewolves. You're a witch and you have to pass an exam and its a time management system where you need certain spells and potions to be able to pass the exam and the more spells you learn from a particular love interest the higher affinity they get. If you do your time management well enough you can choose from any of them at the end. I'm pretty neutral overall.

+MC isn't a bland cardboard cutout
+Free no reason not to try it (Unless you only want the werewolf gotta pay for that but reasonable price imo)

Cons:
-MC female voice annoyed me
-There's one CG per love interest and some mini cgs here and there for their events
-No dedicated routes you get events with all love interests throughout your run no matter what just some events will change depending on their affinity
-Character customization extremely limited to color swaps
